Honestly, one of the most disappointing buffet experiences I’ve had. We came here because of the good reviews and recommendations we had received, so we were actually looking forward to trying the place. Unfortunately, our experience was the complete opposite of what we had heard and expected. We paid $70++ for the buffet yesterday, and honestly, it was nowhere near worth the money. The food itself was one thing, but the service made the whole experience even worse. We repeatedly asked about the vegetable begedil and crackers that had not arrived. We were brushed aside several times and ended up waiting almost an hour before we simply gave up and left. When I asked about the crackers, I was told they were at the back and that we could get them ourselves. But the crackers had already finished — that was exactly why we were asking for them in the first place! Our drinks weren’t even topped up, and we constantly had to chase the staff for basic things. What was even more frustrating was seeing a large group being attended to almost immediately while we were left waiting. We later found out that they were family members of one of the waitresses. Whether that was the reason or not, the difference in service was very obvious from our side. We are paying customers too. We shouldn’t have to repeatedly ask for food, wait close to an hour, and feel completely ignored while other customers receive immediate attention. We came here based on the positive reviews and recommendations, expecting a good experience, but unfortunately, what we experienced was completely the opposite. It was honestly a huge disappointment. For $70++, I expected much better service and a much better overall experience. Instead, we left feeling frustrated, disappointed and unhappy. Unfortunately, this was our first visit and it will definitely be our last. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, because no paying customer should leave feeling the way we did.

Had such a satisfying dinner buffet experience at Chopstix & Rice, Suntec City. Love that this is Singapore’s first Indonesian à la carte dinner buffet, and the spread was full of bold, authentic Padang flavours. The Soup Daging was super flavourful with bouncy meatballs, and the Beef Rendang truly lived up to the hype — tender, rich, and deeply aromatic with spices. Also really enjoyed the Ayam Lemak, which was fragrant, creamy, and had just the right kick, plus the Assam Pedas Ikan Pari was so appetising. What makes it even better is the free-flow soup, crackers, ice cream, and drinks, which makes the buffet feel very value for money. At $28++, it’s a great spot for family dinners and gatherings, especially with kids dining free with every paying adult. Service was warm, the dishes came out fresh, and the whole meal felt comforting and indulgent. Will definitely be back for more rendang and sambal dishes!

Reasonably priced Indonesian nasi padang restaurant. You can choose buffet dinner or a la carte ordering. Authentic flavors and worth a try if you are at basement of Suntec City. Located at Basement 1 of Suntec Tower 3.

I give 1 star because the owner put 3 employees to run the business. You got to be joking? 2 in the kitchen 1 to run the counter and table service etc. I don’t know how you run your business and service. And I understand at certain day and time you may not have overwhelming customers and this is a fun fact for all F&B businesses. So is either you add 1 or 2 more employees to support the others or you yourself be at the shop to lend a hand and give all the support for your workers to run a successful business of yours. No matter how good your food taste and how well your staff works by providing their best abilities, you just ruined everything when you put 1-3 staffs to run your business. It affects a lot of things and all the short comings. Thanks for reading me advice.
