Our friend recommended to have dinner here after she had lunch one day and loved the food. Our group can't deny that the food is delicious. Service: Their staff are confused and not organised when it comes to serving our food/ drinks. They either came with the same item twice or they didn't serve at all until we asked them. There was a time when one of the staff had to double check how many drinks we ordered when the order chit stated so clearly. But they were not rude but just seem confused. Ambience: clean n well spaced table seatings and not noisy so we were able to speak to one another with having to raise our voice or try to listen.

Tucked in a corner at Suntec basement, you have to actively look for it. I can eat spicy but still find their chicken signature curry dish a bit overwhelmingly spicy. Guess you need to be aware that their spiciness is not watered down version. Find their potato patty incredibly good. If there is a reason to revisit, it is for that potato patty mainly. The curry veg is quite good.

We especially came down here to eat after hearing they had reopened at Suntec. The place started filling from around 1145 am, with mostly office workers on a Wednesday. We ordered the beef rendang set with brinjal and fried egg, as well as the special set of ayam pengang with brinjal and fried egg and a drink. The beef rendang was delish and cooked nicely. The chicken was a generous size but too dry, and the drink was bland, so much so that we had to guess it was lemon tea. Overall, the meal was okay.

Started from a humble store in Orchard Towers back in 2002, this is one of Singapore’s well known Indonesian style Nasi Padang brand that has found a new home at Suntec City . Enjoy an authentic spread of Indonesian flavors including their renowned Beef Rendang and Ayam Lemak which are crafted with secret recipes by Madam Loij with over two decades of culinary experience. We had these recently 🌟Beef Rendang $14.90: Award winning Signature dish! Using premium lob-cut beef and secret recipe chilli paste, the sauce went really well with white rice. Beef was tender and packed with mesmerizing flavours! 🌟Ayam Goreng $8.90: Chunky chicken leg was deepfried to an appetizing golden brown and well marinated with harmonious blend of spices. The inhouse hijau was packed with fiery punch with pleasant zesty lime and fragrant garlic. Dip generously with their inhouse hijau for extra satisfaction! 🌟Sayur Lodeh $7.90: Amazing lemak curry with great medley of tofu, long beans and turnips. 🌟Sambal Goreng $7.90: Shiokness packed dish with savoury tofu, crunchy long beans and nutty tempeh in their robust sambal sauce. 😍Chap chye $7.90: All time fav dish packed with umami richness of dried shrimps. 😍Bergedil $2.90 for 2 pcs: Irresistible crispy golden brown potato patties! 😍Belinjo crackers $2.50 🌟Cendol $3.90: Mesmerizing blend of soft pandan jellies & red bean in thick and creamy coconut cream and drizzled with Gula melaka. Perfect for sweet tooth. 😍Ice Campur $3.90: Indonesian style ice kacang. 🌟= Must try items Judging from the crowd during my visit, this is definitely a hit with the office crowds working nearby. It will also be a good spot for travellers visiting Singapore to enjoy a feast of Asian flavours with plenty of spices and chillies. Will definitely be back again!

Huge portion of 'Curry Chicken' dish and it was so spicy! I do not take much spice but I still choose the signature dish. The chicken was nice and tender but the spice was probably too much for me. I hope they had the option to choose the spice level! Nonetheless, nice meal if you love spicy food.

We had the best time at Chopstix & Rice's new outlet at Suntec! They've opened very recently and may be a little challenging to locate. But, good things await! True to Nasi Padang the Indonesian way, we were served an assortment of sambals that included Sambal Ijo, Belado, and Spicy Kecap Manis.. i really wanted to eat more plates of rice but.. limited space🥹 Ayam Lemak 🍗 Tender chicken simmered in golden curry, I loved how LEMAK it was. The fragrance of kaffir lime leaf and lemongrass were most apparent for me and balanced the spiciness and richness of the yellowish curry. Unlike most smooooth curries, this is textured with because of the fibres, a deliciously textured olfactory experience! Ayam Goreng 🍗 A truely good ayam goreng will taste heavenly without any condiments. Marinated in a harmonious blend of spices, this rendition was succulent and aromatic, most importantly, the skin was CRISPY AF💦 Beef Rendang 🐮 At first glance, the stringy cubes raised eyebrows but the boldness of flavours could be tasted through our noses. No surprise there, the rendang is a multigenerational secret recipe... and no, it was not tough at all. In fact, sooo soft. Sayur Lodeh 🥬 Turnip, carrots, long beans, tofu cubes, and a signature home-made paste left to stew. The end result was a comforting dish that doesn't stinge in flavour and where the natural sweetness of the vegetables shine! Sambal Goreng 🌶️ Tempeh and tofu cubes fried in a sweet spicy sambal. The crisp caramelized layer of spice was sooo addictive! One of my favorites!! Chendol & Ice Kacang 🍧 Finely shaved ice and a generous drizzle of fragrant gula melaka and coconut milk immediately cooled our mouths and bodies from the sweat fest of assorted sambals.

Repeated visits. Good food, good taste, good value and good location. From Promenade MRT station, exit to Suntech Tower 2. Take escalator to basement, turn right. Nice cosy corner away from the noise, the crowd and the hurry but ready for the hungry. These are some of the regular dishes that were ordered each time we were here. - [ ] Ayam goreng. - [ ] Beef rendang. - [ ] Sayoh lodeh. - [ ] Begedil. - [ ] Crackers with sambal. Finished off the plates and had to download the pictures for the review. Service was excellent despite having one server during lunchtime on a weekend. Poor guy was hard at work clearing and setting tables, taking orders and serving dishes all at the same time and remain polite and smiling. Great teamwork from the kitchen staff noticeable from the dining area.

Absolutely must try the award-winning Beef Rendang. So tender & flavourful. Love the ayam goreng (fried chicken) with red sambal balado or green chili. Not to missed out the flavourful sayur lodeh, sambal goreng, cap chye and bergedil. So delicious! There's no better way to end of a meal than with a sweet dessert. Cendol and Ice Campur. I enjoy the dishes so much!

The food is standard indon food. Can eat. Felt heart pain for dining area serving crew. She was alone, like for everything, welcome customer to seat, serving dishes, cashier, clear the table, answering guest enquiry ... ... ... So, at some points, the dishes were ready from kitchen, but no one deliver them to guest. Or customer has left, but the table was not clear.

Affordable Indonesian food and patient service staff. Food was served very fast. Well spiced and very lemak! Beef rendang was a tad tough. Begedil was perfectly fried, nice crispy exterior. Chendol was the perfect refreshing dessert after a heavy meal.

Pleasantly surprise nice dishes that are recommended by a friend! We order Asam Pedas Ikan Pari, Ayam goreng belado, sambal goreng, kacang botol, bawang omelette and their crackers. Asam is thick and sour enough and fish is fresh! The chilli on the ayam is fragrant and spicy! Sambal goreng and kacang botol are very flavourful! Definitely recommended to come and try! And because there is a 50% off 2nd dish, this meal is very worth it!

The fish taste weird. Smells like ammonia tasted like bleach. Don’t ask me how I know how bleach taste like, you can “taste” things through smell. Fish is definitely not fresh. Service is slow. Fried rice under seasoned and just tasted spicy. Was hungry so can’t be choosy. But definitely the fish is inedible. Only saving grace was the assam though could be less sour as others may not like sour taste like me.

The food was amazing! Taste really close to how my mom/grandma would make it. The ingredients were fresh and the food was well served. 10/10 would come back and bring my family next time.

Went on a Sat evening for dinner and the restaurant was packed. There was only one server for quite a while and she obviously couldn’t cope. Rated service low because it was hard to get her attention (understandably). Know it’s not her fault but just that service was very slow, they should hire more staff for weekends especially. Food wise, we ordered assam fish head curry, chap Chye, sambal goreng and emping. The food was SALTY. Not inedibly salty but a bit much for me. The fish head was quite big and the curry was tangy enough although I prefer tangier. Probably won’t return voluntarily because of the salty food. But worth a try.

This place seems very popular with families on the weekends, the staff are friendly and accommodating as well. Food-wise pricing is fair for the location, the dishes we sampled were nice. Saw another review complaining about the fish, just want to say the fried fish in the kids meal was actually really nice! No weird taste and the fish was surprisingly crispy! Was expecting those breaded fish fillets they give kids, but this was real fish 👍 Pretty easy to find too! It's located right beside the glass doors leading to the carpark at B1 level, and there is also signage if you're walking over from the fountain area (turn at Giant).

Came across this quaint little eatery in Suntec City while searching for dinner. This place serves good nasi padang dishes. Ordered the ayam goreng cabe hijau, lemak chicken, beef rendang, sayur lodeh, asam ikam parin. If you take a survey, each respondent gets to redeem 3 berkedils at $1 each which is so worth it. The beef rendang deserves special mention: buttery soft beef that melts in your mouth infused with rich rendang spices. Absolutely sedap! 3 stars for service only because there was for a good 15 mins only one lady serving the front of house. She was clearly overwhelmed and couldn't entertain queries as the dishes to serve seemed to be never-ending.

My first visit to this Indonesian cuisine restaurant at Suntec City. It was a Saturday afternoon and they enjoyed brisk business. I could see the staff working extremely hard for their customers. Kudos to them! We tried several of their popular dishes and I personally recommend Ayum Tumpeng Nasi Kuning, Ayam Goreng, Sayur Lodeh and fried chicken. The dessert Chendol sums up a sumptuous lunch. My family enjoyed it including their hot coffee and tea latte. 😃 Special thanks to Sze Wei and team members. 👍

You can expect decent Indonesian food here and the prices are not too high. Beef Rendang is tasty and Sayur Lodeh is delicious. We did not get to try Assam Fish Head curry as it was not available (sold out). If you like spicy and strong taste, this place should be good for you.

Chopstix & Rice is a great place for delicious Asian food. They have lots of options like stir-fries and rice bowls, all at good prices. With fast service and yummy food, it's a top pick for Asian cuisine.

Very good tasting black sotong and a pretty lemak sayur lodeh. Ayam lemak was way too spicy for me. Would be back to try other dishes like the fish etc. Only one waiter serving the entire restaurant and the wait staff was pretty blur lol.

What we ordered: 1. Ayam Lemak - chicken in curry. Chicken is tender and curry is really spicy 2. Begedil - better than expected 3. Sayur Lodeh - it’s like curry vegs and the coconut milk is very lema Shoutout to the staff who observed and gave us an extra bowl when serving the chendol because my friend and I were sharing (:

I came here based on a friend's recommendation for authentic Indo food, and I wasn't disappointed at all. The food was incredibly tasty, flavorful, and well-prepared. I thoroughly enjoyed the meal, especially the Ayam Goreng Belado, Ayam Lemak, and Sotong Hitam. I found myself needing to ask for more rice because everything tasted so good. I will definitely be coming back for more.
