Mid size eatery. Off shot of boon tong kee. Order a steam chicken rice set & fried chicken wing rice set. Steam chicken taste same as parent company. Fried chicken wing was crispy but have some chicken blood at middle portion of meat. From photo you can see it is quite a complete meal with a vegetable side dish and half egg but a small bowl of clear chicken soup would be nice. Overall a nice food outlet for whole family.

New restaurant at Basement of Causeway Point. Manage to try their food after the lunch crowd. Food - Chicken was tender, tasty and on point. Rice was good and its refillable. I like the Banana Red Bean Pancake too, crispy and not too sweet. 👍 Service - Staffs were friendly and welcoming. Service was prompt. Atmosphere - Newly renovated, trendy and clean. Can be a little warm thou. In general, I enjoyed my meal at Chicken Ka Kee. Will definitely be back again to try out other dishes.

Previous restaurant at this location is also the chicken rice shop. Very homely and cost layout. Vibrant and uplifting atmosphere. Menu offered are pretty good in terms of the selection and variety available. Price may differ slight if watch closely. E.g soup per price and soup with set. Despite both were the same item served. Signature Chicken seems lightly dry nevertheless tender. Fried Chicken dishes were acceptable and the coffee flavoured one were pretty interesting and worth trying. However, make sure to try it hot. Good marketing for free flow rice for bottomless pit to test our rice limit 🤪🤪🤪 Surprisingly the drink were good and big portion for people like us who tend to finish our drink before our meals. Service provided by staff were good and friendly. Knowledgeable and very flexible in getting things done. However may want to improvise flexible group setup as big table for 5-7 were taken by 2 paxs only instead of offering to another group of 2? Generally overall is still good and worth to go for a meal.

I think it is comparable with other Boon Tong Kee outlets in terms of overall food quality, but with a more limited variety on the menu. Portion for certain dishes like broccoli is a bit small, but portion for drinks (same size as my palm!) is very good. Sour plum juice is not bad. Chicken is acceptable, free-flow rice is a good touch. Fuss-free meal for the entire family.

The chicken were so tender, and garlic sauce were as delicious, all at a fraction of the Boon Tong Kee restaurant price. The drink was huge, enough for 2 to share. Set meal came with free flow rice! And an option to topup a side for only $2. Nice retro deco, that’s better than many of the old restaurants outlet. Staff were friendly. And value for money. Will return.
