My rating: 2.5/5 - average 5/5 - a must-try, willing to travel for it TLDR: 3.75/5 A fairly average hokkien mee, ok to hit the craving if you want to eat here Craved hokkien mee after my holiday so came here to Bedok to try since it was on my saved list. The stock is not very flavorful, just standard creaminess and taste to make a standard plate of mee. The sambal chilli is not too bad, not too spicy, its sweet and sour and i rather eat it over having the standard taste. Overall can try, but not a top tier hokkien mee

Found a hawker selling Halal HKM at Bedok food centre for our Muslim buddies. Lots of ingredients, dry styled frying.

This stall at Bedok Food Centre really spoilt my lunch appetite and whole day mood. I ordered the smallest, which is $6, and told the stallholder that I'm dining there. When my number was called n I went to retrieve the food, it was packaged. I repeated that I 'm dining in but he either pretend not to hear or whatsoever, he ignored. So I thought never mind, the food is already packaged but I still can eat it there. But when I open up, all i saw is noodles and egg, not a single sotong, a single prawn, a single pork in sight. The whole dish is only egg and noodles! Me and my mum is in a rush hence I do not want to have to waste time bringing the whole dish back to the stall. It really spoilt my mood and day. And $6 is really so expensive!

I used to like the Hokkien mee here. After the old uncle and auntie has retired, the new chef still maintained the quality....too bad, only for a short while. Every time I travel from west side to Bedok corner, I will try again, thinking recipe can't be changed so often. Yesterday was the worst Hokkien Mee I have tried. The lady has changed it to the dried type and sotong was missing as well. It was quite terrible that the yellow noodle alkaline taste / smell was so strong, I suppose nothing has been done to it or just directly from the supplier to the wok and on the plate as long as it is cooked. The bee hoon was apparently also without wok hey....same...directly from the supplier, to the wok and onto the plate. Well, the best halal Hokkien mee is gone. Seems like the one taking over the recipe does not feel it is important to maintain the quality and no responsibility to up keep it too. Last tried and sad for the uncle.
