Absolutely loved our experience at Afghan Zamarut Restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, and full of authentic flavours. Everything we tried was beautifully prepared and tasted amazing. The service was also friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. Definitely one of the best halal restaurants we’ve tried in Melbourne. Highly recommended for anyone who loves delicious Afghan food and a great dining experience. We’ll definitely be coming back! ❤️

We recently dined at Afghan Zamarut and opted for the buffet, which offered a great variety of dishes and was overall quite enjoyable. There was plenty to choose from, and most of the food was fresh, well-presented and satisfying. One thing we particularly appreciated was that the restaurant wasn't very busy during our visit. After a long day at work, it was nice to enjoy a quieter atmosphere and a more relaxed dining experience. We also ordered the mantu on the side. While the texture was good, it unfortunately lacked flavour and didn't quite live up to expectations. The jalebi included with the buffet was also a little disappointing and wasn't a highlight of the meal. The service was okay throughout the evening—friendly enough, but nothing particularly memorable. One challenge during our visit was a child who was understandably having a difficult time and was quite loud for much of our reservation. While it did affect the dining experience, these things happen, and families deserve to enjoy a night out too. Overall, it was a pleasant meal with a good buffet selection and a relaxed atmosphere. While there were a few dishes that could be improved, we left satisfied.

My wife and I recently had dinner at Afghan Zamarut in Sunshine and had a very enjoyable experience. We ordered the Zereshk Pulav and the chicken was beautifully cooked — tender, juicy, and full of flavour. The Taftoon bread was fresh and soft, and paired perfectly with the dishes. We also tried the Chicken Karahi curry, which had a lovely flavour and was very satisfying. The service was good and the restaurant has plenty of comfortable seating, making it suitable for families. We also noticed their buffet spread, which looked amazing with around 8–9 different dishes available for $35. We didn’t try it this time, but it definitely looks worth coming back for. Overall, a pleasant dining experience with tasty Afghan food, and we look forward to visiting again.

We went here on a Friday for the buffet. It was amazing experience. The food was really worth the money. The ambience is amazing. This is now my goto Afghan place. A time and place to relax after Friday work. I am also going to commend specifically about the service. Really down to earth people. Feels very much homely.
