A&W at Changi Jewel felt like a proper nostalgic throwback for me. I haven’t had the iconic A&W in over a decade, so seeing it at the airport made it feel like the right time to revisit. I had lunch there with a friend and ordered the promotional spicy fried chicken combo, which came with their legendary curly fries and, of course, the unmistakable root beer float. The fried chicken was pretty okay, while the curly fries were decent and familiar in the best way. But the real star is still the root beer float. That combination of cold root beer and ice cream just never fails. I was a bit too full to try their best-selling waffles this time, but maybe that’s something to come back for on the next visit.

I ordered the seasonal Spicy Chicken (3-piece meal) and was disappointed with the quality of the food I received. The chicken was noticeably burnt on the outside while still undercooked on the inside. I brought this to the attention of the staff, but was told that it was “normal.” Based on my experience, this is usually an indication that the frying oil was either too hot or had not been changed according to the proper schedule, resulting in uneven cooking. I hope the management will look into this matter and ensure that the team follows the proper food preparation SOPs. While I understand that this is a fast-food establishment, food quality and safety should never be compromised. I trust that the necessary improvements will be made to prevent similar incidents in the future.

Visited A&W Jewel on 11 July and was greeted warmly by Kavish. Kavish is very attentive managing customers who were waiting for their tables while at the same time ensures that the dining area is clean. Keep up the spirit and energy young man and all the best in your endeavours 👍👍 A&W give this man a pat on his back please 🙏

It is with the utmost admiration that I extend my sincerest commendation to Kavish of ANW Jewel. In an age where exceptional service has become increasingly uncommon, Kavish stands as a shining example of professionalism, grace, and unwavering dedication to excellence. From the very first interaction, he conducted himself with remarkable poise, courtesy, and genuine attentiveness. His knowledge was both extensive and reassuring, and he possessed the rare ability to guide with confidence whilst allowing every decision to remain entirely my own. Never once did I feel hurried or persuaded; instead, I was afforded the dignity of thoughtful guidance and impeccable care. What truly distinguished the experience was not merely his expertise, but the character with which it was delivered. Kavish embodies the virtues of integrity, patience, and refinement—qualities befitting the highest standard of service. Every detail was attended to with precision, and every question was met with clarity and sincerity. Such calibre of service is not simply commendable; it is exemplary. It is therefore my distinct privilege to bestow upon Kavish a well-deserved five-star commendation. He is, without question, a distinguished ambassador for ANW Jewel, and his unwavering commitment to excellence elevates the reputation of the establishment as a whole. Should every customer be received with the same measure of respect and dedication, ANW Jewel shall continue to flourish for many years to come. My deepest gratitude, Kavish. May your professionalism, honour, and pursuit of excellence continue to set a standard worthy of the highest esteem.

Dear A&W Management / Jewel Customer Service Team, I am writing to lodge a formal complaint about a highly unsatisfactory experience I had at the A&W outlet located in Jewel Changi Airport. On my recent visit, the waitress stationed at the food collection counter was extremely rude. She raised her voice at me and other customers in an aggressive and unprofessional manner. I chose not to respond in kind, as I did not wish to escalate the situation or lower myself to her level. This incident has left me deeply disappointed. It raises serious concerns about whether A&W adequately trains and supervises its staff, especially at such a high-profile location. The behaviour I witnessed is completely unacceptable and reflects very poorly on the A&W brand. What makes the matter even more concerning is that Jewel Changi Airport serves as the gateway and public face of Singapore’s renowned hospitality. An incident like this not only damages A&W’s reputation but also tarnishes Singapore’s image as a courteous and gracious nation. I strongly urge you to investigate this matter promptly, review your staff training protocols, and take appropriate disciplinary action. Customers deserve respectful and professional service, particularly in a flagship location like Jewel. I look forward to your prompt response and assurance that steps will be taken to prevent such occurrences in the future. Thank you for your attention.
