Had my dinner here at the fourth floor, honestly the chef wasn’t that friendly but the food he cooked was just awesome! He also asked if I wanted spicy for everything before cooking, which I am very appreciative of. Do tell the chef early before he cooks for you if you don’t wish to eat spicy foods… The secret to this delicious meal is in their sauce, and it tasted so good complimenting all the meats and rice! Portion size was just nice. I could see fresh meats and seafoods waiting to be cooked for other diners, station was kept clean all the time and the food was served fast in front of my eyes! Would be good if they also had the option to buy no sugar added drinks like iced water or green tea no sugar. Overall you can expect the customer service aunties to usher you in and explain to you the different sets they have. The chef will cook your set and serve it up on a piece of aluminum foil. Just eat, enjoy and go your merry way. *Do expect to wait at least 20 minutes in a queue during peak hours. Read the menu properly as they may not have time to explain to you the different sets they have. One can expect to spend around $20++ here per person.

An affordable teppanyaki around the neighborhood, the food quality is good and it's value for money. You will sit beside the teppanyaki table and the chef will cook in front of you. Their fish fillets was really very good., which I really liked them a lot. It can get really crowded during peak hours, so be prepared to wait for 30 mins to be seated.

5 stars for the food. 1 star for service. 2 stars for ambience. Just because it's a food court doesn't mean the service has to be subpar. People should take pride and do their job well, regardless of what their chosen profession is.

The service staff and cashier (the aunty) are all very rude and arrogant. When I ask to move to the other table because I have a friend joining me, the service staff black face and refuse to change table or add my guest, the reason is the Fat Chef will not be happy as they already prep the food portion to cook on the first table. They have not even start cooking. I know they are popular but the service standard is really bad, because they are popular during dinner time so they become so arrogant. The only good thing -- The other chef at second table his cooking is pretty good (not the fat chef).

Was shared that this outlet close at 10pm, reached at 8.58pm not taking anymore order. Staff was busy cleaning table to prepare for closing. Closed as 1 hour earlier think will lose quite a revenue x 30 days Food is really yummy. I suggest to update the website for accurate info if really indeed closes at 9pm

Will not go back again. The sauce was made with no love and used for most of the dishes, beef, prawns.. cuttlefish was blend and tasted frozen and not fresh at all musk with the same ol sauce. Veg was just meh. Soup was served so early before everything was cooked, not sure why there was a queue. And how some people can give it 5 stars 🫠

Would have given a 0 star if i could. Website clearly showed that store closes at 10. Writing this at 9:20pm after being told that it has already closed despite the 10pm timing on their website. Aunty wasn’t friendly either, kept giving nasty looks.

Went on 12-Nov-2023. Will give a 0 star if possible. Went to satisfy my craving for teppanyaki at Nex with friends. We ordered 2x Set B double and 1x Set C. Once we got sat down, there were somebody already cooking the veggie with the lid covered. Saw a string of black gooey semi-solid on the cooking metal plate (whatever that is called) itself, and was expecting the guy to at clean it up before he started his 'show'. Surprisingly, he seemed to wish to give us an 'extra ingredient' and opened the lid, then proceeded to slide the whole bunch of veggie over a portion of the goo, and proceeded to continue serving us the veggie as if nothing happened. The same thing happened on the next vegetable sent to us. Do try to imagine it when he was doing it right in front of all the customers getting served. There were even 2 portions of takeaway that were 'infected' by the goo (To whoever who got it, I pray for your well-being). Just in case for those who are wondering, the veggie tasted with a taste of what was previously cooked (there was a fishy taste to the veggie). Next come the main dish. all the meat and the seafood. All portions of the seafood were stuffed into 1 lid (I'm gonna assume he did that out of time issue), and by that I meant all the fishes, prawns, scallops, oysters and squids (congratulations to everything going to taste almost the same, prawns, squid, fish, oysters all stack on top of each other). This resulted in all the excess water flooding out of the lid, and onto its surroundings, including my friends' food that were right in front of the cooking fiesta. Although the water was not literally touching the food, but the distance between the water & the food were less than 1cm apart (imagine if it flowed further). Only after around 1-2 min, the cook tried to 'scrape' the water away, leaving a small patch of dried liquid right on top of my friends' food (imagine how 'hygienic' that must be). Third, the seasoning that were used were either too little, or too much (never just the right amount, I wonder why). The veggie had too little salt (perhaps he wanted to lessen the seasoning cos he used the goo for 'additional seasoning'), the seafood had too much seasoning (salt fiesta, maybe cos the seasoning got used up already, so he had no other choice eh?). Fourth, the moment we sat down, the metal plate was already completely filled with all kinds of burnt markings from the previous batch, with little-to-none cleaning done on the cooking plate. I can imagine how much 'effort' the guy put in just to ensure that the food are of 'utmost quality' that he can offer (I'm gonna admit, this is not fine dining, but there are limits where you should not cross). Lastly, Google Review asked me to recommend food from this place and there isn't any that I can click on, so I can only give my own in here. I will recommend their seafood liquid, mixing uncooked (sorry, half-cooked) water with cooked food, goo-filled veggie & stacked seafood to mix all the seafood (seems like you have eaten all the seafood, seems like you have not eaten any of the seafood too).

Need to queue to pay and sit and wait for the food. Not for people who are rushing for time. Taste was above average. Mutton was extremely gamey. Meat quality is average.

Had a craving for teppanyaki and my friend says to try this. It’s halal some more and I had the double set with my Malay colleague. It’s worth the money for two person. We had the beef steak set and it also includes prawn, squid, fish and oysters! Flavour wise, my colleague said the normal beef is better than steak. I felt the steak was cooked too long and not enough seasoning. Might try the set with chicken thigh next time.

I always see consistently long queues here. There were 5 people waiting before me. A counter staff would ask how many are dining. Staff would then allocate a seat for you. After some time, they would ask for your order and payment. I recommend paying with the BreadTalk Rewards card or app. You get 10% off the total. For a $15 meal, you save $1.50! BreadTalk Rewards is accepted, along with credit / debit cards and cash. Once payment is done, you will be brought to your seat. There are four chefs, one on a square table and three others on a long curved rectangular table. The chef you are allocated to is entirely by chance. I was seated in the back row. Clear soup and rice is already placed on your seat prior. Aluminium foil is also placed along the big flat cooking pan in front of you to place your order. The chef I was allocated to is patient. He / she would ask if you would like sauce added on your cabbage or beansprouts before preparing. Cabbage and beansprouts are cooked in batches of a few people, while meats are being prepared in the kitchen. Garlic, pepper and powders are extensively used when frying the vegetables. These are fried from scratch in front of you. Once done, relatively equal portions are distributed. Portions of vegetables are average. I also find their taste to be average at best. While they are piping hot, their taste is strong but average. It felt quite monotonous and too wet. I tried vegetables fried with their demi sauce too. I am not a fan of their demi sauce. It is quite salty. The flavour is uncommon and strong. I find it a tad odd. I feel the vegetables are better without sauce. After frying the vegetables, the flat pan is swept clean. The prepared meats are now taken out. Seafood is prepared first and covered up in a circular bowl to let it simmer and be thoroughly cooked. Then, raw beef is sliced, seasoned and stir fried before they are portioned and distributed. The beef is well cooked. Portions are quite generous. It is relatively soft throughout while maintaining its texture. Its taste and texture is better than average. Flavours and seasoning are very strong! Also, I found it a tad peppery. The rice is not clumped together and its texture is okay, but feels too cold. The soup likewise is too cold, but also too light and almost tasteless. While seeing someone cooking and preparing meals for you is an experience in itself, I think $15 for a basic meat set is just too expensive! Pepper Lunch in my view has much better taste and value. I'm not sure about their seafood, but based on what I've tried, I would give this a miss.

The table is still empty but they arranged for us to sit in-front of hotplate even we requested 2 time. Never served us rice till we called the runner. The chef who sounded can not and cooking is honest. I ordered set B, but my set only have 1 pc of scallop

I think the food is quite yummy because of the sauce but the price is a bit ex. But then again its Japanese food so its expected to pay a bit more. Other teppanyaki have to pay more so this is alr the cheaper option
