First impression, its halal, interesting. Onto the taste, its actually quite well fried with good wok hei, but once onto the 2nd bite, one will realize the taste is lacking lard and not full-bodied. Taste profile is almost entirely fired up by dark sou sauce.

My colleague recommended me to have lunch over here and I must say, it’s money well spent! We ordered 2 portions of small char kway teow for $4.50, less than 6 minutes both orders up. Worth every penny! FYI it’s Chinese Muslim owned, so it’s halal. It opens daily apart from Friday from 12pm-8pm Portion - 5/5 Taste - 5/5 Readiness - 5/5

The char kuey teow tasted old school like, quite nice. Cockles were fresh. Note: it is a Halal stall, so no lap cheong, etc.

I ordered the Halal Char Kway Teow for $5.50 with an extra cockles for $2. The taste was authentic, not overly oily, with a nice wokhei aroma. The addition of chili padi gave it a moderate level of spiciness. Unfortunately, there was no halal lap cheong to complete the authentic flavor.

Got the $4.50 plate, which was 75% filling so most people should be satisfied with the $5.50 one. The chilli is pretty moderate but if you don't eat spicy at all it may be a little too much for you to handle. Flavours are great with the mix of sweet and spiciness that blends well together. Also didn't realise the stall was Muslim owned until writing the review, a nice bonus I guess.
