This was my second visit to this restaurant with my friend.
On our first visit, we had a very good impression: the food was delicious, affordable, and the seller was polite.
This time, we ordered 1 biryani, 2 burgers, 1 korma curry, and 2 naan. We also noticed that menu prices have increased compared to before, and Kabuli rice is now only available on Fridays.
As usual, we carefully calculated our total before going to the cashier, based on the prices listed in the menu book. The total came to 4,100 yen. However, when we paid, the cashier told us the total was 5,000 yen. At that moment, I wanted to question it, but since it was already late and we were tired, I didn’t say anything.
After thinking about it again, the difference of 900 yen feels quite significant—almost enough to buy another burger (700 yen). I don’t really understand what happened, and I hope the restaurant can evaluate its billing system.
If there is tax or any additional charge, please clearly inform customers at the cashier.
Since receipts are not provided, it would be better to calculate the total while verbally confirming each ordered item with the customer, using the calculator at the cashier, rather than only entering the final amount to be paid. This allows both sides to double-check the order and clearly understand any tax or additional charge, helping to avoid confusion and ensure transparency.
Honestly, we felt a bit disappointed this time, the situation felt unclear and less transparent.
On our first visit, we paid exactly according to the menu prices—no tax, no extra charge. Why was the second visit different? Was it because the staff was different?
We actually intended to recommend this restaurant to our friends after our visit, but this experience made us hesitate.
As fellow Muslims, we believe honesty and transparency are important values in business, and we hope this can be reflected consistently in the future. Thank you, we hope you consider our feedback.
