Thai Style Chicken and Kangkung are OK but the San Lou Bee Hoon and Hotplate Tofu that I ordered are just disappointing. The taste of San Lou Bee Hoon was million miles away from JB standard and the Hotplate was not even sizzling when served.Overrated.

Read about this halal zichar and decided to give it a try. Arrived at 5.30pm before the dinner crowd and ordered San Lou Bee Hoon from a server. When I asked in Chinese how much and where can I seat, he gave me a blank stare. I repeated in English and he said anywhere. Waited for 20 mins although there is hardly any customer. When the same server came, lo and behold! He brought a plate of San Lao Hor Fun. I told him he got it wrong because I ordered San Lou Bee Hoon. He gave me a disgusted look and went away. Another 15 mins later, he came back with a plate of San Lou Bee Hoon. All is forgiven when I smelled the charred wok heat bee hoon. Here’s what I liked: 1) crispy slightly burnt on the outside, moist bee hoon inside. 2) goes well with their sambal belachan chilli. 3) portion is generous for $5.50 And here’s what I missed: A) as this is a halal zichar, definitely no lard with I feel is de-rigueur for San Lou Bee Hoon. B) replaced sotong with fish meat. Not sure why but sliced fish does not have the chewiness of sotong. 3) the chicken meat that replaced the pork could have been better marinated. There is a raw chicken taste. All in all, I think I’d better stick to my usual San Lou Bee Hoon places.

Best Seafood stall around in CCK since 2018. You eat already also really buey tahan, want to order more. Price range from $5 onwards. Remember to add egg(荷包蛋) ok? The chef cooks are consistent and taste is good. What's more? Stall is HALAL. Melokek la, what else. You do not need to wait too long for your food either take away or dine in. They will serve within 10mins, chop chop curry poke. Typing these, I already buey tahan already. What are you waiting for? Give it a try now!

Dishonest Food is good but when we asked to pack the leftover food they gave us only 1/3rd of the food. We were very surprised to see after opening the food boxes after reaching home. Did not expect something like this in Singapore at all and please be careful if you have plans to take away. I think at least SGD 30 worth of food was missing.

I ordered delivery from foodpanda. It stated will be delivered within 25 minutes. I waited for 1 hour. The timing has been updated for another 0.5 hour. After 0.5 hour, it updated to another 0.5 hour. I requested to cancel which was accepted by foodpanda. I got the refund but my children have to eat very late dinner and starving. Never order from this stall anymore. Same with others, i am quite surprised why there were so many 5 stars complimenting the food.

Halal Chinese zichar at good prices, decent for a neighbourhood seafood stall. Portion they give is also quite big. Relatively fast service. There’s a few seats available at the coffeeshop for you to dine in. Friendly and helpful service by the female cashier. Meal for two cost $20++ with two mains and 1 side.

My wife dapao a fried rice for me late at night. When I looked at the price I was a little stunned as it was rather expensive for fried rice, but I requested my wife to order it anyway as there's not much makan option left at that time. Certainly the right decision, the portion was very big and tasted great, certainly justifying the higher price tag. Highly recommended.

Promotion set by a tzi char stall selling dishes without rice included. This company food prices increased with bad quality. I would not recommend customers to choose their set and promotion items. Ala carte is better but food quantity is less.

Randomly tried a new zi char place: all 3 dishes we ordered were surprisingly not bad, and better than we expected it to be. Also just realised they have a few outlets all over Singapore. Pictured: - Prawn Paste Chicken - Prawn Omelette - Sambal Potato Leaves
