We had the soy sauce-flavoured half chicken. The chicken arrived piping hot and was well worth the wait of approximately 15 minutes. The batter was crisp and the chicken itself wasn't overly oily. The chicken seemed a little on the pricey end for a coffeeshop, but it's more affordable than other Korean fried chicken outlets. Would return to try the other flavours if I'm around the area.

So excited to try out and probably have high expectations of the Korean fried chicken, was quite disappointed. The chicken looks good but quite a few pieces are hard and dry. Only the chicken wings and drumlets are slightly more tender. We had the soy sauce and the spicy sauce, the sauce is good. Just that the chicken is dry and hard. Seems like its pre-fried and set aside, when customer order they fry it again before adding the sauce.

Tried Waker Chicken (Bukit Batok) by ordering their original fried (half) and a box of French fries. Loved the batter for the chicken and the crunchiness. Even though I ordered takeaway, it’s still very good when I reached home 10 minutes later. Will definitely revisit this place!

The chicken wings were freshly prepared upon ordering. There were a selection of flavors to cater to all taste buds. Personally I like the original flavor.

Love the juicy and flavourful Korean fried chicken from Waker chicken. Not overly salty. While we find the original stall at Toa Payoh still delivers the best crispy chicken, the standard at this BB stall is still good.

Will not return. The chicken meat itself has no taste. Despite the copious amount of seasoning on the surface, the meat beneath is plain and flavourless. I admit the batter is light and crispy, fried to perfection. But it seems that the chicken itself had not been seasoned at all. So although the surface has all these different styles and flavours, it isn't enough.

This is a personal opinion. Indeed “awaken taste”, I was “meh” with the taste.. - This is a 3pcs rice set.. soy chicken @ $7.50 - Advise that you don’t try the rice set… the yellowish-Orange rice is NOT fragrant rice. - size of chicken pieces are so damn small (1/2 a palm sized) probably due to the pricing. - Only potato fries & coleslaw are good.. I will not try again. Thank you

Situated in a coffee shop where it is self service. The chicken is non oily but crispy. The butter rice is very light. Overall price is reasonable for the set.

Ordered honey butter and soy flavour. The staff are very friendly and food were served promptly. The kids enjoyed very much.

Enjoyed a delightful dinner at Waker Chicken today, and the Honey Butter Fried Chicken rice set exceeded expectations! The combination of three perfectly fried chicken pieces, fluffy rice, crispy fries, and refreshing coleslaw made for a satisfying and well-rounded meal. The chicken and fries were especially nice, most likely cos they only fry them after you place your order. The honey butter flavour added a unique, sweet/savoury delicious twist to the fried chicken. Waker Chicken is definitely a go-to spot for a tasty fried chicken.

flavours are on point! I tried soy tenders and honey butter chicken rice set. I would recommend the tenders if u don’t fancy bones. lastly, I would have given 5 stars if the chicken were more crispy.

Bought their new "2 piece honey butter chicken Cutlet set", even paid 50¢ extra to make both cutlets honey butter flavour, thinking the quality of their chicken would be similar to the past. The chicken cutlet comes out with more than half of it being just skin and very little meat, not to mention the fact that it's very low quality and spicy cutlets. (McSpicy's atificial spice flavour) The spice overwhelmed the honey butter flavour and with how little meat there was, made it a super unsatisfying meal for $9.50. They removed the previous chicken pieces and rice sets and changed it to this new more expensive but worse tasting set, AVOID AT ALL COSTS. It was so bad I didn't even finish it.

Waker Chicken is well-known for offering authentic Korean-style fried chicken at kopitiam prices around the heartlands since December 2021, and that's the reason why they have 5 branches (at the time of writing) despite being a relatively new chain. I tried the honey butter chicken tenders rice set, which was served with coleslaw, butter rice and fries. The fried chicken tenders had a satisfying crunch when I bit into it, while the meat was moist and tender. The honey butter powder, which reminded me of the milk powder served atop Two Chefs' butter pork ribs, also complemented the chicken well as it was not too sweet or cloying. Now, when I first tried Waker Chicken at their Marsiling outlet (which had since closed, unfortunately) a few years back, I remembered the team being led by their passionate founder, Tae Woo, and their great service and warm smiles as they greeted you. Sadly, none of that warmth can be found at this outlet. The service was cold as the person taking orders seemed to be annoyed while manning the register and was giving customers sidelong glances and letting out grunts instead of giving proper replies. It's a real pity to have experienced this level of service from such a promising young brand, especially one that serves great food. I hope others have a much more pleasant interaction with the service staff as compared to mine.

Too little.. expensive compared to spring chicken at #371.. don't think 7 pieces is worth $15.. if this 7 pieces is only $8-$9, then I will give 5 stars. 160624 review: amend to 4 stars becuz they now have the 3 piece set which is a lot more worth for money. 3 piece set take away was $7.60.
