This place seems very popular for a location that is considered a little 'remote' or 'secluded'. Most probably it is because of the foods that they serve - good food with good taste and sufficiently generous servings. The ambient is also very comfortable and suitable for a small family gathering but you may have to wait because of the 'ever flowing' patrons/customers that come here, especially during peak periods like lunch time. And this place seems a popular place for meet-up sessions for some small groups of people who want to spend time chatting or catching up with friends too. Just be prepared to wait patiently if you'd like to try this place because it's a good place to come and spend a good time with friends.

The royals cafe (siglap) is one of the best cafe for morning/noon - breakfast/brunch/lunch. May not be eye catching like the rest of other cafes since the seating arrangement can be limited. But one of the signature is its remarks on "VOTED best mee siam in singapore". Initially I was like woah sure or not 🤣😅. So fiancée ordered mee siam while I ordered nasi lemak with boneless chicken. Both you can see from pic. Although I never try before all the mee siams in singapore but I can confirm that it is indeed one of the best I have tasted thus far. I intend to bring my parents over and try it one of the weekends. Staffs are friendly, customer oriented too. One of the lady also helped me charge my 0% battery phone so that I can show vaccinated status for dine in. Foods and drinks are served to your seats in timely fashion. They got an A for cleanliness certification and is halal certified so our muslim community can also enjoy the good food. Last but not least, their lemonade all soda based. Mine is the green one while fiancée is the royals blue (slightly sweeter than mine) but overall is a good experience for us especially after our morning workout on a sunday. I wish the shop prosper in the new year and maintain their food quality and service standard in future. Thanks all !

Happen to passing by the area looking for eatery shop/cafe during CNY holiday. All I can say, it’s worth it. Ordered nasi lemak with Ayam Masak merah, and my friend ordered mee siam with chicken wing. We both enjoyed the meal. Nasi lemak is fragrant and tasty, and that sambal is one of the best nasi lemak sambal I ever had - it’s sweet and spicy, which I like very much. Oh Ayam Masak merah… delicious.

Perfect balance of sweet and sour in the Mee Siam(in my opinion). Attentive staff, that I can tell are motivated. They noticed I only ordered one coffee between two, and offered to bring a glass of cold or warm water. They even held the coffee and cake till I was done with the Mee Siam. Definitely a cafe with pride in their operations.

The signature mee siam was good, and I enjoyed the gravy. The prawns didn't feel that fresh, but you should go to seafood restaurants if you want fresh seafood. We also tried the classic nasi lemak, which was on point and delicious. It's air-conditioned and you get nice and chill vibes similar to what you get from cafes, so it's a pretty good spot for catching up that's not too loud. Keep in mind that it's on the pricey side (close to $10 for mee siam / nasi lemak)

Always liked coming to Royals Cafe cos of how homely and warm the service and atmosphere is. Not a great place if you want a romantic meal with your date 😂 but definitely a great place to take a boisterous crowd to. Food is always homey and warms not just my stomach but my soul ❤️ If you come here, the mee siam is a must try and don’t forget to pack away some home made cakes and cookies! The portions are pretty hearty so come with a hungry stomach to enjoy the meal.

The overall taste of the mee siam is good but for the price we are paying, we shouldn’t be eating factory processed frozen prawns and we will unlikely come back again! please consider offering your customers a better value for your signature dish

Yummy meesiam which tastes somehow different from the usual meesiam being sold at most malay stalls in our hawker centres islandwide. Generous portions of the food which was enough to feed four of us (we don't consider ourselves too small eaters!)

Good mee siam not quite like Cosy Corner and certainly not the best in Singapore imo, but good. Wished they used proper market prawns instead of frozen though. The fun sized curry chicken pie is buttery, flaky and pretty nice. Their sourdough bread on the other hand is not like those artisan sourdough we are used to but more like white bread loaf. Nicely crispy, soft and chewy when toasted. Overall ok.

This place deserves an award for longevity. It a landmark in Siglap. Situated at the junction of Jalan TuaKong and Upper East Coast Road, it is a go to place for local fare. The meesiam is legendary but ordered the regular nasi lemak and the nasi lemak with ayam. The portion is big. The sambal is equally awesome. The accompaniment was the usual fried egg, fired chicken wing and fried ikan bilis with nuts are all good. I had a black paper chicken pie and the taste is also heavenly. The portion is decent and flavorful. Overall, it is a good place to hang out for local fares. Prices may be steep but you pay for a generous portion and quality food. Customer service is good too!

Came here for the mee siam that is described as “best mee siam in Singapore” on a signage at the door - IMO it’s good but not outstanding - I would have given 4 stars if not for the fact that the two prawns were frozen and quite tasteless. However, my colleague and I were quite impressed with the crab cakes which we are really glad we ordered.

Great place to chill and catch up with friends, colleagues, or family. Tried the Mee Siam again after so long. Still as good as before. The Royals burger (take out) was nice too. Will come back for more good food.

Am not a mee siam person, but this place serves the best Nyonya Mee Siam 😍, and now it’s my regular fix. They also have assorted pastries & cakes. My favorite is still none other than the ‘ondeh-ondeh swiss roll’ (not to be confused with the sliced cake). They also have many finger food options for take-aways and great for parties - best to pre-order to avoid disappointment. Staff is also very pleasant and helpful!

We have came several time. Mee siam was the must have here. Nasi lemak classic was also good. Ingredients were fresh and the wait for food was bearable. Chili for both dishes were good. Dessert roll was a bit dry for me. Water is provided and the place is air conditioned. Price is reasonable. QR order and pay. Food was served shortly. Limited no of tables. Toilet available within the premise.

I would have loved to give it better rating, but for 2 visits in a row, our order took nearly 30 minutes to fulfill when it's not full or busy. The Mee Siam is good and will come quickly, but order anything outside their top dishes and be prepared to wait. My salad took 20 minutes while my son had a near 30 minute wait for kid's fish and chips. It's just chips with a fish fillet, how is that supposed to take almost 30 minutes? For context, another table of 5 came about 20 minutes after our order and had all their orders filled within 10 minutes. I no longer would visit.

Visited on 20/4 evening. Gochujang wings were sweet and savoury, more on the milder side, not as 'punchy' as the usual Korean style chicken. Meat was slightly on the chewy side. Decent, enjoyed the wings. Also had ayam masak merah nasi lemak. Very yummy, masak merah flavour was very savoury and sambal was good too. Egg was nice just-slightly-runny texture. Delicious. Cakes look so good, but no space to try, maybe next time.
