A Stellar Waterfront Dining Experience at The Promenade If you’re looking for a dining spot that matches breathtaking waterfront views with an absolutely stellar menu, this gem on the promenade is an absolute must-visit. * Tuna Tartare The meal kicked off on a high note with the Tuna Tartare. It was remarkably fresh, clean, and beautifully presented. The natural sweetness of the pristine tuna was perfectly elevated by a delicate balance of acidity and seasoning. * Striploin (300g) The star of the show was undoubtedly the 300g Striploin. Cooked to a flawless medium-well, it boasted a gorgeous, deeply caramelized crust while remaining incredibly juicy and tender on the inside. * Casarecce Pasta For the pasta course, the Casarecce was a comforting masterpiece. The twisted shapes of the artisan pasta did a magnificent job of holding onto the rich, savory sauce. * Pineapple Smash Juice filtered from whole pineapple, cold brew jasmine tea, homemade cordial This mocktail is sunshine in a glass. The clarity of the filtered whole pineapple juice kept it light rather than heavy, while the floral undertones of the cold brew jasmine tea added a sophisticated layer of complexity. The homemade cordial tied it all together with a perfectly balanced, vibrant sweetness. * Chocolate Old Fashioned Bourbon, chocolate liqueur, sweet and bitters A magnificent, decadent twist on a timeless classic. The warmth of the bourbon was beautifully complemented by the velvety richness of the chocolate liqueur. It was smooth, deeply aromatic, and hit the perfect note of sweetness without losing the bold, spirited punch of a traditional Old Fashioned.

This time, I dined at a higher-end Mediterranean restaurant, and the overall experience felt noticeably more refined than at an ordinary restaurant. From the choice of ingredients to the cooking techniques, there was clear attention to detail, and the meal came across as polished and well executed. To start, I had the burrata salad with Inca cherry tomatoes, summer strawberries, and aged balsamic. It was a very fresh and visually appealing dish, with bright colors that made it especially inviting. The burrata was soft and smooth, and once cut open, the creamy center was rich and luscious without feeling too heavy. The sweetness and slight acidity of the cherry tomatoes, along with the fruity freshness of the strawberries, gave the dish a light and layered flavor. The aged balsamic added a gentle depth and acidity that balanced the richness of the cheese very well, making it a refreshing and appetizing starter. For the main course, I chose the aged rib eye, served medium, with mushroom sauce. What made this steak stand out was that it was charcoal grilled, which is something not often found in many restaurants. Because of that, the flavor was noticeably different from the usual pan-seared version. The charcoal grilling gave the surface of the steak a distinct smoky aroma and a deeper fire-kissed flavor, making the beef taste more pronounced and layered. The medium doneness was well judged, keeping the center tender while still giving the meat a satisfying bite. As an aged rib eye, the marbling was well distributed, so both the beefy flavor and the richness of the fat came through clearly, and the charcoal grilling made the overall flavor even fuller. The mushroom sauce was also a highlight, with a fresh and naturally sweet mushroom flavor rather than just a heavy, salty richness. It paired very well with the steak, enhancing the beef without overpowering it. I also tried the pumpkin risotto, made with Arborio rice, roasted Japanese pumpkin purée, pesto sauce, and aged Parmesan cheese. The risotto was cooked well, with the rice retaining a proper bite while still absorbing the flavors of the sauce. The roasted Japanese pumpkin purée gave the dish a natural sweetness and a smooth, creamy texture. The pesto added a light herbal note that prevented the flavors from becoming too one-dimensional, while the aged Parmesan brought a savory depth that tied everything together nicely. Overall, the meal showed a clear level of care in both ingredient quality and execution. Although it was on the pricier side, each dish had good balance and depth of flavor, and the overall standard was clearly above average. If you are looking for a Mediterranean restaurant with a more elevated feel and carefully prepared dishes, this would be a solid choice.

Tucked along the lively promenade, this restaurant is an absolute delight — a perfect blend of breezy waterfront energy and warm, attentive service. The Bee’s Knees (78) is a standout: a harmonious trio of seedhp spice, fragrant rosemary, and floral honey, brightened by fresh lemon juice and topped with club soda for a clean, effervescent finish. It’s citrusy without being tart, with a comforting herbal backbone that makes it feel both refreshing and sophisticated. Equally refreshing was the Berry Lemonade (78). The homemade berry purée gives it real fruit depth, and the sweet-and-sour balance is perfectly tempered by a hint of thyme — a subtle herbal note that lifts the drink and makes every sip feel summer-ready. The Burrata (158) arrives as a silky, indulgent pillow of cheese surrounded by Inca cherry tomatoes and summer strawberries, drizzled with aged balsamic. The contrast of creamy cheese, juicy bursts of tomato, and the unexpected sweetness of strawberries is delightful; the balsamic ties everything together with a glossy, tangy-sweet finish. The Pumpkin Risotto (188) is cooked to that perfect, slightly chewy creaminess, and the roasted Japanese pumpkin puree adds a deep, velvety sweetness without overpowering the dish. A bright pesto swirl and shards of aged Parmesan provide savory complexity and a pleasant herbal lift. The Rib-eye steak (400g, 490) is generously portioned and cooked with care, it’s juicy and well-seasoned, with a nicely caramelized exterior. It’s the kind of steak that satisfies both in texture and flavor.

This restaurant is located along the Kwun Tong waterfront and has a stylish interior with a lot of character. We ordered several dishes: lasagna, lamb rack, pasta, and beef tartare. The lamb rack was cooked perfectly — very tender and juicy. The lasagna was also an interesting dish. It’s a fairly typical lasagna dish, but it had a noticeable charcoal-grilled flavor, which added something unique to it. Overall, the food was good. However, it’s a bit out of the way and was kind of pricy, so I probably wouldn’t make a special trip just to come here — we mainly visited because a friend lives nearby.
