The French American Pastry is a charming bakery situated on Haji Lane. The bakery's architecture and overall aesthetics, along with their delectable baked goods, are visually delightful. We sampled the cheese danish and creme brulee, and they were both delicious and satisfying. It's the perfect combination to enjoy on sunny days. We can't wait to return for more delightful experiences in the future!

Creme brulee was super yummy with a good portion. The sugar layer was the perfect thickness and custard was so creamy with real vanilla beans. The viral hot chocolate with marshmallow fluff was a bit disappointing. Too sweet and not chocolatey enough

amazing selection of pastries ❤️ come early to get the cinnamon rolls because they run out of it so fast! Loved the marshmallow hot chocolate too but it might be a bit too thick for some :')

Wide choices of pastries that being freshly bake everyday. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Not available for dine-in and only for take away. They also sell kombucha and granolas. The cafe also smell so good because of the fresh pastries. Tried the cinnamon rolls and it is quite good. Would love to come again and try other pastries

I got a creme brulee. They added sugar to the top, and burned it with a burner to caramelize it in front of me, which was cool. But when I got home and opened it, the sugar had all turned to liquid. Was quite disappointed, especially because it was not edible. It's a shame, because other baked goods I've gotten were pretty good.

Great food! Yummy chocolate marshmallow drink 🤤 only downside is that they have no chairs. Since they're mainly a bakery, there's no available chair. You can take a seat at the cafe beside tho, just order something there too so it's not embarrassing 😅 The croissant, cookie and cinnamon caramel roll are really good! Not too sweet, just nice. And the texture is amazing! Flavor bombs 🥰 will definitely go back!

I came here to try their Hot Chocolate with Torched Marshmallows. The hot chocolate is so-so, just like a regular hot chocolate, and the marshmallow is too sweet for my taste. I ended up stirring them together. Also, it wasn't the best decision to have it during SG's hot weather 🫠 They also offer a variety of pastries. I tried their almond croissant, and it was delicious.

You will not miss the queue at TFAB along haji lane. The pastry choices were good. I love the caramel cinnamon roll and hazelnut croissant we got. Hot chocolate? Of course i tried it. Needless to say, it was perfect. Richness of cocoa and sweetness of marshmellow fluff. Extremely love it. Regretably it is a small cafe serving only takeaways, hence there is no dine in area available. But if you dont mind consuming ur food n drink elsewhr, i highly recommend TFAB. You will be served by polite and helpful staff. Queue time was barely noticeable as you would be salivating over which pastry you'd like to have.

Shop space is small and allows maximum of 5 pax at a time, party of 2. Constant short queue but it moved quickly. Tried the hyped Hot Chocolate with Marshmallow Fluff ($8). Freshly piped and torched in front of us. It was a bit too sweet and cloying after awhile, but worth a try. Plain croissant ($4) is generously sized, not the super crispy sort. Tastes great dipped into the hot chocolate. Be there earlier for a better selection of bakes. We arrived at 5.15pm on a Sunday so most pastries were almost sold out. Will be back to try other pastries!

Came here after the rave reviews about this place. The place’s quite small and only 5 customers were allowed to enter at once. This created a queue for the place and I guess that’s how the hype was built up in the first place. They had a wide selection of pastries at the display counter that were eye catching and i was tempted to buy them all. I had quite a few pastries as takeaway to them out. Kouign-Amann stood out to me due to its unique name and also it’s flakiness but it’s a tad too sweet to me if I had to finish it all by myself. Almond croissant was flaky as well but the texture wasn’t soft in a way that would amaze me. It’s a bit hard on the texture but I still liked it. Chocolate hazelnut croissant was rich in the filling and yet not too overwhelming. It’s quite flaky too. I liked this better compared with almond croissant. Mango coconut danish was done in a conservative way where the part that I liked was the mango filling. I’d tell the mango was fresh! Chocolate swirl was my favorite as the chocolate topping was rich and even the inside of the swirl was oozing with chocolate cream. Had to share this with someone as it’s too heavy to finish it all by myself.

Google Maps navigated me to the kitchen, further down Haji Lane at first. The actual bakery is in a green building on the right side as you enter from North Bridge Road. I don't know why I ordered a hot chocolate in the heat of the day, but it was amazing and worth the hype. I tried 3 different pastries and all were good, but the pain au chocolat was the best.

Came here on a humid Saturday afternoon and it's packed with tourists along Haji Lane. Saw this online and had to try it for the festive X'mas spirit, and I would say it's rather pleasant! The store is rather small, and there is no seating. It's a take-away concept where there are pastries, Creme brulee, and of course, their signature hot chocolate with torched marshmallow swirl. For $8 a cup for a warm hot chocolate, it is rather value for money not only for their portion size but also a deep fragrant chocolate flavour. It leans towards a "very sugary" profile rather than decadent chocolate richness. Sweetness comes mainly from the soft marshmallow swirl and the hot chocolate itself.

Polite and pleasant service, nice pastries. Things get sold out fast that in the afternoon only a few items are left. So far from my 2 trips, I got cinnamon buns, raspberry pistachio financiers, almond croissant, chocolate croissants and chocolate fudge cookie. The latter, believe it or not, went well with Soya Bean Milk drink (for me of course hahahah). I absolutely loved the financiers and almond croissant. Note that only 5 customers are allowed in at one time because the place is quite small, otherwise it would be hectic.

No seating. Food is not up to standard. Bought an original and pistachio financier, thin and lost its fluffiness. Cinnamon bun, sugar icing is disgusting and does not go well with the bun. Bun is dry and hard inside even when it’s heat up. I’m sorry but this is one of the worse bakery I’ve encountered.

finally got to try the famous hot chocolate! the serving of marshmallow was very generous, and when heated it's texture was perfect ✨ the hot chocolate itself was very dense, and not the best we've had. however, it was sweet and decadent. shoutout to the the female staff there (20/12) was extremely friendly and patient! this is definitely worth a try, but we wouldn't get it again as it was $8.

Small bakery located in Haji lane with good taste of Kouign-amann. The place is relatively small so it can only served 5 customers per time and it only serve take away. Open at 11 am and when I am there it have some queing start before opening. It also have famous marshmallow chocolate drink that have tempting looks. The chocolate drink is ok but a bit too sweet if you mix all the marshmallow inside the drinks. Takes only cash payment in here.

French American bakery is one of must-visit place especially if you love bakery and patisserie. You can find a lot of Bordeaux special menu. For me, this is place is awesome even though the taste not 100% same as French one but totally delicious. I understand because their mix French and American style. All the sweet item taste so American Oh you better bring cash and it served only for take away. You better hurry take your line in the morning. It’s fave for everyone I will visit this place next time Super!

Beautiful bakery that sells a wide range of pastries! Opens at 11am so don’t think of grabbing breakfast to go but they do serve pretty tasty baked goods. Price range is also on the slightly higher end at $8.50 for a swirl.

Hand's down the best new bakery in town! Bought a chocolate Nutella swirl, le crookie and hot chocolate and greedily finished it in a day. That was how amazing it was. Go early to avoid the long queues and remember that the shop can only accommodate 5 customers at a time :)

We saw this place on Instagram and we knew we had to try it. It is down an amazing lane of food in Singapore called Haji Lane. This bakery is about halfway down with heaps of flowers and a cool green exterior. The pastries are all laid out very nicely! So the atmosphere is 5 stars. The pastries themselves are tasty and have all the right flavours, but it’s not top quality. What would take it to the next level is having each of the pastries come out nice and hot and fresh. That’s what distinguishes most French bakeries from others (having been to some of the best bakeries in France). One of the other things people go there for is the hot chocolate, which looks amazing on their Instagram page. It looks exactly the same in person, but we found the drink overly sweet - it either needs a bit more milk to balance out the chocolate and sugar, or they need to reduce their portion sizes to make it manageable to finish. We were not able to finish the one drink we purchased between the two of us. What is even better (in our view) is the coffee place right next door which serves some of the best coffee I’ve tasted outside Australia. The bakery only does take out, so the coffee shop is a good place to sit and eat. Worth a visit just for the ambiance, coffee shop and a visit to Haji Lane!

Overhype and only 2 Le Crookie PER HOUSEHOLD Having seen this hot chocolate marshmallow reel since last year December it has been on my family’s wish list. Then they closed for renovations, and we had to delay our visit. After seeing another reel last week on Le Crookie, we again renewed our plans to visit this bakery. Our family of 5 (2 parent, 3 teenagers) woke up early so we can travel from the West to visit Haji Lane, and be there on time at 10.55am in the line. We ordered 2 hot chocolates, 3 Le crookie, 2 almond crossaints, 1 pain au chocolate. Not an unreasonable request is it? But then to be rudely told Le Crookie is a limited quantity item…only 2 per household. We had 4 people present in the line and we wanted 3 pcs. There is NO sign anywhere informing of that it is limited quantity, so not transparent at all. So if my 5 family member or 5 friends order separately…they can get 10 Le Crookie …we cannot get 3. We had no plans to resell or hoard or freeze or whatever. I even joined the line separately afterwards just to get 1 pc but the staff will not sell me…said it’s not fair on all the people who will come later. After making a special outing on a Sunday just to experience it surely was a disappointment. Once was enough, but will go back with 5 friends just to independently buy 2 each just to prove how stupid and discriminatory this policy was.a policy that isn’t stated anywhere. Oh and the taste – the hot chocolate was overly sweet. Le Crookie is huge and was sickly rich and sweet, I can see why it has a limit!
