The absolute best place to get Indonesian food in Perth, hands-down. Surprisingly, the best nasi goreng i’ve ever had wasn’t even in indonesia; it was here in Tempayan Bay 🤣. If I were to go back to Perth, this place would definitely be the first in which a meal of mine would be devoured.

Indonesian restaurant located in East Perth. They offer a variety of Indonesian dishes, as well as draught beer and other drinks. I was surprised to find live music in the evening, which added to the atmosphere. I ordered nasi goreng and grilled chicken, both were great. Staff were helpful, and the vibe was relaxed and enjoyable.

The place where I can fulfil my Indonesian food craving while husband can have his big breakfast. This time I tried Ketoprak, Jakarta’s street food favorite and he had big breakfast. The big breakkie elements here are very comforting, for british guy, it’s perfect with baked beans. Will come back for more.

Finally I had a chance to take my mum and sister for lunch at Tempayan Bay. We had the lunch special Pecel and the Javanese Fried Chicken. Unfortunately the cendol drink that my mum wanted wasn’t available. The service was so so - didn’t have the warm welcome feeling nor friendly smiley face. The taste of both dishes did not wow us. They were ok but weren’t quite what we were expecting in term of authenticity. The location was excellent, with great view over Langley Park and Swan River.
