Had a good meal here. 👍🏻 There’s usually always a queue for this restaurant and it served really good rice bowl! The small size is just right for a lady who’s hungry. Coupled with the special edition of strawberry matcha is really good too! Easy to order and affordable price as well. The drink is slightly on the higher size but both items cost me less than $10. Reminds me of the beef don in Japan, I wished there’s more outlets across the island.

Highly recommended if you want to get an affordable and tasty filling meal. The beef sukiyaki was flavourful and tender with the right amount of fat. I also love that you can get a side portion of vegetable at just $1 to balance the meal. Do note that it can have a long queue during dining hours though.

Separate queue for takeaway, and the food was takeaway quickly. There was always a queue whenever I walked past. I did not get a chance to dine at Sukiya when I am in Japan but my friend recommended this restaurant. Delicious Yakiniku Don and Gyudon. I wish that there is more meat for the Yakiniku Don in L size. I also ordered the Curry Chicken Karaage but I did not like it. Small packets of soured ginger were provided. Affordable prices.

Nice food, but seems the place but understaff, they mixed up some order and almost get the wrong size too. Tried the melted cheese beef, taste not bad, but rice portion is much more than the meat, not sure if this is part of the cost control. Place is pretty crowded during lunch and dinner time and be ready to wait in long queue.

Started queueing at 8pm, seated and got our food after 40 minutes. Food was priced well for the serving size, but the taste was subpar to average. Had the kimchi karaage bowl with egg $8.20 - karaage and egg were ok, but kimchi wasn’t good. Topped up $2 for vegetables (a lot of stalks) and miso soup (ok). Husband had the melted cheese gyudon in a larger size ($9.50) and added karaage and iced lemon tea ($4.50). He and the table next to us both think the Yoshinoya beef bowl is way better. But he thinks the serving size is ok for the price too.

A place i always pass and saw long queue. Finally get to eat it. The food is very affordable and good quality. I love the generous spread of spring onion on this particular dish i ordered. The side dish veg (kang kong) was poorly good. The stalk still tasted quite raw. Other than that, it was a good experience eating here.

Good Food, Decent Price. Instead of the Gyudon, get the Yakiniku if you want something more flavorful. However, this has got to be the wettest Japanese curry I've ever seen. If you like the tradition Japanese Curry I would not order this.

Chances upon this Sukiya Gyudon at the corner of Marina Sq. Since there wasn’t a queue, so we decided to dine in. Sadly a few seats were blocked as the air con was dripping. We had a seat under the glass roof of Marina Square with the sun scorching through the glass. We can feel the heat and we’re already sweating. Food was served rather promptly after ordering. We had the new Egg Shio Gyudon and GoroEgg Shio Gyudon. The scallion/spring onions were a plenty. Adding crunch and a little spice to the bowl. Fans of spring onion will love this combo. Next is the same but with added fried clove garlic. This is also nice where you can taste the fried garlic aroma with every bite. Needless say the beef beef thinly sliced and tender. Typical “shabu” style meat but still juicy and well marinated. The karaage which came with the set were nicely fried. Juicy and tender. The onsen egg adds another dimension to the overall taste of the Gyudon and it’s a must have for me! The mixture of watery egg whites and yolk compliments the whole dish. Very satisfying. (If not for the heat) hopefully they can add an additional roof or canvas to block off the heat.

Wow this is very worth it good in my opinion. As I am a big eater, I got the biggest XXXL portion and this is the first time I left a restaurant satisfied with the delicious meal. The vegetables was not very great but it was still edible. The beef was the highlight along with cheese and the bubble tea I got with some jelly inside was just amazing. Would come here to eat again should I visit Suntec.

Raw vegetables. They didn't bother to cook the vegetables. The okra is frozen. Or super super super cold, even though it was ordered for takeaway and eaten 35 minutes later. Minus two stars for that. The rest of the food was nice though. Guess don't come here to eat vegetables. Just get the meats.

Good consistent food. Fast was served fast. Love their MX or XM concept for less rice more meat.

Came here for lunch, decide to try the melted cheese gyuodon. It was really tasty and plus points for serving it with Tabasco by default 🧀🍚🥓🌶️ The seating area is quite packed and the air-conditioning not strong enough. Otherwise we had a pleasant experience here. Value for money 💪

Overall wonderful experience here! Really value for money which was a pleasant surprise. Portions range from very small to the bigger size so there’s lot of options. I even went for the low carb option, with tofu instead of rice. Food was served quick too, also Halal. The meat was quite fresh too. Thanks!

So good at very cheap price and good quality and quantity, no wonder always so crowded, I will definitely come more often when I crave for Japanese food

Good as always! Portions are good and meat is flavorful. Prefer the regular gyudon with additional toppings over the yakiniku. Gyudon is nicely sweet and savory. Yakiniku is sweeter with much heavier flavor, I have strong taste buds but found this slightly much.

4.5 stars. Food was really good! The yakitori chicken bowl was super tasty and the chicken was soft, tender and flavourful. Nori is a nice addition and much appreciated! Had my meal with extra kimchi and egg which were both nice too. Prices were reasonable and portion was fair, although a little more chicken would be great! They have options for you to choose S, M, L, XL etc but unfortunately there was no option for you to choose more meat and less rice. For instance, the upsized bowls mostly were increases in amount of rice and not for meat. Got to hit L or XL to get an increase in portion of meat, but by then there's also too much rice for me as the rice is also upsized. Staff were busy and had to call out for them a few times to get their attention. Overall was a good experience!

Had this on a Saturday evening for dinner. The queue was surprisingly fast at 6:20pm, and we got our food within 10 minutes after ordering. I ordered the medium size gyudon and made it a set for an extra $3.50 (miso soup & tofu). The meal was very filling! The gyudon was good - tender, thinly sliced beef with their special sweet and savory sauce, which complements the fluffy rice well. It’s even better when you add their toppings and mix it with an egg and spring onion. Every bite was satisfying! I recommend getting the small bowl because the difference between the medium and small was only the portion of the rice. (IMO) The price was affordable ($9.40), making it a great option for a quick and fuss-free meal with your friends. Service was efficient but would be great if they served water as the food does get jelak and slightly salty over time. This outlet is near Promenade MRT station exit. Delicious, convenient and affordable meal - will come back again!
