Delectable Indian food, although the quality varies from day to day. The same goes for the amount. The restaurant is generally well-ventilated with a wide variety of Indian food. Staff are generally pleasant and reasonably attentive. It does attract a crowd, so be there early.

2+ decades of Shami and still loving it… The mutton (bone) curry and masala chicken are the must-haves. Occasionally I enjoy their flower crabs too! Nonetheless, I wish they have provide better tools to deconstruct the crabs, not everyone has trusty teeth. IMO, their curry fish head is below par (it’s to do with the quality of the fish head and less of the curry) so I would give it a miss.

Located along the low storey shop houses along Sembawang road, next to Euphony Gardens Condo. Public parking is available just outside the place but can be tough to get a lot on weekend meal times. One of family’s favourite place for Indian food, having eaten or taken out on multiple occasions. Many great items here with standouts been the masala chicken, crab masala and curry fish head. Dum briyani are available on Saturdays but you have to early as they are mostly sold out by 2pm. Rice here used are the basmati type for both the plain and briyani, liked that their briyani is lightly coloured and contains cashew as well. The variety of Indian bread is pretty good here, great for those likes to mix and match. Service can be a little stretched at busy hours for dine in, just have to be patient and will not be disappointed with a little waiting.

First time trying, ordered take away - the special of the day, Mutton Dum Briyani, cauliflower and papadom. Paid SGD21.60. Busy during weekend lunch time but was served shortly. They also have the counter which is like the mixed rice concept. Q to be served to chose the dish and food. The food still smell good after 15 mins when i reached home. The overall portion is huge however the mutton portion inside is not alot, the rice is alot. Rice is fragrance and tasty. Mutton is tender. Worth a try.

The Shami Banana Leaf at North point Kopitiam is one of the best Indian food one can bargain for. The taste is so authentic with a wide array of delicacies to choose from. The staffs are amazing especially the Young Lady with the Headscarf. She has been doing a fantastic job for ages! This shows that Shami is a great company to work for. The portion and variety never fails my taste buds.

Gotta come here you the bomb curry. Every time I visit Singapore, my colleagues take me here to eat. They know I love that curry, this place does not disappoint. Honestly, try any recommended dishes or drinks on the menu and you're good to go.

Chicken biryani cost $9.30 here. The rice is also somewhat lesser than causeway point branch. Godly: taste From rice to vege to chicken and curry the taste is superb. All the spices ganged up to assault your tastebud. Flavorful chicken and vege. Together with the curry with the strong chicken flavor that goes well with the fragrance hardy rice. Curry was mildly spicy Pro Papadum. Chunky and doesn't get soft that quickly. Meh. Tenderness of chicken. It was pretty mediocre on the tough side even when it is the thighs.

Big portion of food, great butter chicken. Naan was on the thin and crispy side, sadly. Plenty of vegetarian options too.

The Shammi Banana leaf at Northpoint food court is horrible. Been a repeating customer myself for a good amount of years but the quality and taste of the food here has been worst and worst. Ordered the chicken briyani here and the chicken wasn't cooked enough, went to show the staff the chicken and they said that this is normal and not to worry about it? Look at the chicken yourselves 🤣 no longer going to order food from here again 😵‍💫

The waitress was helpful. They didn't have reeta but she said they would make it for us. Yogurt with cucumbers and onions . Really nice. Loved the Naan and the chicken and we felt that the fish ( fishbhead curry ) was fresh..

Food was good but the service staff leaves much more to be desired. Always talking in their service area and no one paying attention to the customers. Difficult to get their attention.

The chicken briyani was blanded and lacked taste of spices that make Indian food sings. Basmati rice was hard like was from overnight. Hard to get attention of service staff while restaurant was only half filled. After 2 tries, they still couldn't get my kopi tarik right. The plus is the restaurant is clean and comfortable.

Previously visited experience was pleased and satisfactory. Food was great too. However, 2nd visit has made my decision to never go back in the future. A prawn dish tasted very bad, taste of sewer. We informed the staff but the staff dealt with it very negatively. The reply was a question of cancelling the dish or to get a new one, with no apologies given and a tone of us maligning them wrongly. We were so upset with the way the staff handled and feedback to the boss during payment. However, it did not help with the situation but made it worse. The boss wasn't willing to apologize first-hand, blamed the prawn supplier, saying she did not know what happened and what did her staff do. Basically shrugging it off. After a few attempts of explaining the situation, only a word of apology saying she'll talk to her staff. Very disappointing and upsetting experience, far from first experience. My friend and I even got death stared by the staff while we were making payment and heading off. Will never recommend nor visit ever again.

Excellent customer service. And amazing food. Probably the best briyani stall around yishun/sembawang. Ate there many times. Last week I tried the prawn satti sorru. It took a while to come but it was worth the wait. By fast the best dish on their menu!

The food quality has deteriorated and the service is sucks. We scanned the QR for food menu and their staff came to take order. We ordered some dishes and 2 serving of rice. According to the QR menu, one serving of rice is $1.9. When we get the bill, we were charged $8 for 2 serving of rice. To clarify, the lady boss told us they don't serve plain rice but rice set which is rice with veggies and it costs $4 per set. We were never served veggies during our meal. She then checked with her staff and realized it was their mistake for not serving veggies as staff forgot and asked if we want to doggies bag the outstanding veggies. When we feedback that there is plain rice in the QR menu and their staff also didnt inform us only rice set is served. She told us the QR menu is inaccurate and insisted no plain rice served even though it was their mistake for not serving us the veggies. I don't think it is fair but don't want to argue anymore. Will never go back again with such service standard.

Incredibly Rude staff, hostile. The location is deserted at the side of an empty road. Food is salty and curry is watery. Naan is dry. I am pissed about the food because of how long we drove just to try the curries. They also charge $3 for a takeaway container tf. Ice water non refillable, super long serving time. Unsatisfied dinner and wasted petrol. Never coming back. $10.50 for that little bowl of watery butter chicken curry. Siao af

The Dum Chicken Biryani at this restaurant is nice. The chicken is tender, infusing the rice with their aromatic essence. The rice itself is soft and moist too. On the other hand, the Mutton Biryani falls short of perfection. The mutton lacks the desired tenderness, leaning more towards a chewy texture. However, the saving grace is the biryani rice - it remains soft and fluffy.

Their beriyani was really a treat. The rice is perfectly cooked. The mutton didn't have that typical sweaty smell, testament to good cleaning and marinading, with most of the fat removed. The chicken was succulent and juicy. The masala gravy was tasty but not too hot. Not the best I've had, but pretty close.

A fraction of the price as compared to Banana Leaf Apollo. The service staff are really approachable and sincere. I ordered the Curry Fish Head at $18- can you beat that...!! Yeah.. Yishun again..!!!
