I stopped by the J8 branch of Saybons on August 18th for lunch. Unfortunately, the food was a huge letdown. I've been to Saybons before, and while the food wasn't amazing, I was willing to give them another chance. That was a mistake. The beef pot pie lunch set was a disaster - the fries were undercooked and still pale, the stew was ridiculously runny, and it tasted like water with a hint of beef. I'm really disappointed, especially since I love the restaurant's atmosphere.

I genuinely don’t understand how a restaurant can get so many simple things wrong. The aglio olio was unexpectedly watery. Considering it’s one of the simplest pasta dishes to make—and an oil-based one at that—it was disappointing to see it come out looking and tasting diluted. The roast chicken resembled a plain chicken breast with very little colour or seasoning, and unfortunately the flavour didn’t do much to change that impression. The iced lemon tea was also extremely diluted. I even requested sugar syrup, but it was so thin that it barely sweetened the drink. Then came the soup. It was served in a paper cup instead of a proper soup bowl, which felt rather odd for a dine-in meal. Serving hot soup this way came across as cheap and impractical. The soup itself was very basic and one-dimensional, with little depth of flavour. It reminded me more of a convenience-store soup than something freshly prepared in a restaurant. These are all fairly fundamental elements of a meal, which made the overall experience especially disappointing. I had expected much better, but unfortunately I won’t be returning or recommending this place.

Had a lovely meal at Saybons in Junction 8. The food was served hot and fresh, and the soups were rich and comforting. The pasta and main dishes were well prepared, and the portions were just right. The restaurant was clean, the service was efficient, and the prices were reasonable for the quality. A great place for a quick yet satisfying meal.

Disappointed with my recent visit to Saybon. I ordered the Truffle Aglio Olio pasta, but unfortunately it fell short of expectations. The pasta was overcooked and soggy, lacking the firm texture you would expect. It also didn't taste like a traditional aglio olio, with very little garlic flavour coming through. On top of that, the dish was overwhelmingly spicy, which completely overpowered the other flavours and made it difficult to enjoy. Overall, the quality of the pasta was disappointing and I would not visit again.

Very disappointing experience. We ordered the mushroom pasta and it was by far the worst dish of the meal. The pasta was overcooked, the sauce lacked flavor, and the mushrooms tasted bland and unappetizing. We also tried the crepes, but they were nothing special and didn't make up for the poor quality of the pasta. Overall, the food did not meet our expectations, especially considering the price. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.
