Tried ROOST today and had the thai sweet and sour chicken with rice - it was really yummy. The chicken was super tender and juicy, and the consistency really stood out. The staff mentioned that the owner invented a patented auto machine to cook the chicken, which honestly explains how well it’s done. It’s a modern but comforting take on our local chicken rice. I also liked that their mains come with a small side of their signature chicken, so you still get to try it. The chilli sauce was tangy and flavourful, and service was great, especially from the manager Jimmy and August were very polite. Would definitely come back again 👍🏻

Roost at Changi T4 was the perfect place for our small group of 13 old friends to have a quick meet-up with a long time friend who was on transit from Australia. Alson and Xiao Ling were very nice to accommodate us to have a late lunch there. Xiao Ling was so helpful in taking down our drink and food orders. The service was excellent and the food was good.

I recently visited this restaurant and had such a lovely experience. The moment I stepped in, I was greeted by soft, soothing background music that instantly made the atmosphere feel calm and relaxing. The entire space is beautifully designed — clean, modern, and aesthetically pleasing without feeling overdone. The food presentation was equally impressive. Every dish looked thoughtfully plated and absolutely Instagram-worthy. I especially appreciated that the rice wasn’t overly oily like typical chicken rice. It felt lighter yet still fragrant and satisfying. The chicken was incredibly tender and juicy, cooked to perfection. The soup was a comforting highlight — it reminded me so much of my grandma’s cabbage soup, warm, simple, and filled with that nostalgic home-cooked taste. Service was excellent as well. The crew members were attentive throughout our meal and always served with genuine smiles, which made the dining experience even more pleasant. On top of that, the pricing is very reasonable for a full set meal. The side dishes are also very affordably priced, which is quite rare for a restaurant with such a nice ambience and quality. Overall, it offers great value for money, and I would definitely return when I’m craving comforting food in a relaxing, beautiful setting.

The chilli is not the usual kind, it’s a little sour but I love it! The chicken too is not your typical steamed or roasted but I loveeee it! Maybe I was very hungry but everything on the chicken rice set tasted so good! Mantou + Chilli crab sauce and the Thai style tofu I give it a 3/5. I also love that at dinner, it’s quiet and service was quick. Will definitely be back with my family!

The poached chicken breast meat not very tender and the sauce is different from typical chicken rice soya sauce type like Boon Tong Kee. This one is gluey and taste slightly sweet, taste is meh. The soya oil chicken taste better. Chilli sauce is alright. The saving grace is the rice - which is fragrant, not too oily, not too salty. However it's a bit undercooked. The white bee Hoon is not bad. Price is airport price so it's alright. Overall, this is not a go-to place if you want to try good chicken rice. For a quick bite, it's alright as it's just outside the arrival hall.
