Such a shame that the standard of Phat Milk has plummeted, it used to be such a great staple on Mt Alexander Road. I just returned to the area after a year working overseas and went to Phat Milk for brunch this morning to find the outdoor eating area really unclean, and my order woefully wrongly done (menu item for reference - I did ask for scrambled eggs instead of poached eggs but no goats cheese, salad or salsa in sight, and the bread was wrong). My friend’s drink they ordered was out of stock, so we left after I’d taken a few bites, weren’t offered a refund and weren’t given an apology. Very sad but at least I’ll save money at home now!

This neighborhood café offers a distinctive Arabic-inspired breakfast menu and exceptional coffee. The ambiance is comfortably casual, and the outdoor patio seating is particularly inviting on pleasant days. The service is friendly, and prices are reasonable.

A cute little cafe serving up some yummy food. I had a refreshing watermelon, orange and mint juice whilst we waited for the food to arrive. We didn’t have to wait long and out came the chicken burger, porridge and knafeh French toast. All of the dishes were enjoyable and whilst the French toast was indulgent it wasn’t a huge portion so didn’t feel too heavy. Very prettily presented and definitely something a bit different. The porridge was a healthy choice if you don’t count the caramel which was quite decadent for the morning but it worked. Great flavours on the burger also and I loved the sunny courtyard

We enjoyed some good dishes, spoke with the owner and learnt the history of the popular venue, soaked up the vibes that this little gem has to offer. Overall, we had a great experience at Phat Milk and would recommend adding it to your list of ‘places to lunch’ in Melbourne.

I cant be happier visiting Phat milk in Moonee ponds to try their famous Knaffeh french toast and the amazing corn fritters. I was totally blown away with the food and service the cafe provided. I cant wait to be returning in near future to check out the rest of their menu.
