Permata Singapore offers a decent dining experience in a heritage neighbourhood with a variety of dishes to choose from. While the food was satisfactory, it may not be the best option for those seeking exceptional flavors. The ambiance and service, however, contribute positively to the overall visit.

Everything was impeccable down to the taste, serving size, quality, range of dishes. All the staff were excellent too, very friendly and accommodating. Second time here, first time was to celebrate my dad’s birthday and was served by Chef Mel himself with delicious and unique recommendations, and this time is for a special mother-daughter session with the 1 for 1 buffet to explore melaka’s cuisine! I would definitely come again with more family and friends!

We the best local cuisines all in one sitting. Enjoyed the food, ambience, live music and also Chef Mel's personal visit to each and every table. Mee Siam Mama is my favourite and I think the best I've ever had for a very very long time.

One of the best rendang I ever had! And the best durian pengat! Food was very x100 good. Even the jemput jemput was down to perfection. Staff was quick to clear the plates and are on the ball. The male restaurant manager wearing purple was kind and helpful. It was a nice simple dining hall. Nothing fancy on the inside. They could do with more interior designing to elevate the atmosphere. A pity there wasn’t sambal belachan. And there’s no plain white rice (but there is nasi lemak rice). Chicken rice was served in the cutest portion (more please!) Other than that, we had a massive good experience here.

A very cultural and traditional taste that you will want to go back for more! My friends fall in love with the beef rendang and all the food there are excellent! Pricing are reasonable with a group of very attentive team of service manager, chef and staff. It's a must go to venue for birthday events and gatherings!

1st time dining at Permata and wont be the last . Had a great time here with my family a total of 15 pax. Food was yummy and it's worth it . Service was excellent too . They gave me complimentary birthday cakes for the ones who is celebrating . Thank you Permata ! Will definitely come again!

All the food here exceeded my expectations. Yes some of it may be the fusion version of the traditional dishes, but the taste does not run far from the original! Try ALL the food here. You won’t regret. This restaurants always has promotion so you might wanna wait for promo to go. Missing 1 star because I think the place is small. A tiny restaurant with no ample space does not shout luxury to me so that’s sad. The decoration can be improved too. Quite confused. If you’re lucky, Chef Mel might talk to you about the food too, so that’s a plus! The teh tarik was bad.

I went there to celebrate my wife's birthday. You have to make reservations before coming down. Food tastes good with a huge variety of fusion food of Nusantara heritage. You will be spoilt for choice. I only managed to take a few photos of the food as I was busy eating all the time. Ambience is nice but can be improved especially on the toilet condition and the floor steps between rooms which can be a potential hazard if customers trip and fall while carrying their food. Another improvement is on the staff. There should be someone at every station to serve food when requested by customers. The architecture is historic, therefore it should be maintained properly to preserve the olden days vibe in my opinion. In conclusion, it is a nice place for family gatherings, meeting clients or for company lunch events and also weddings. Definitely worth coming but may not be my go to place for my cravings.

We celebrated our beloved mother's birthday at Permata. Favourite dishes were Asam Pedas Mussels & Rawon Risotto! Must tries! It turned out to be a lovely dinner in the presence of Chef Mel Dean! He was friendly, welcoming and shared more about the specially-curated dishes which we very much appreciate! Truly a splendid night that will be remembered for years! 🤩

This restaurant serves a yummy variety of halal food over buffet and is very popular amongst our muslim community. We went on a friday evening and the place is packed with people. They service is good and food is yummy too. The 1-for-1 promo for their lunch or dinner buffet this month is so worth it. Good time to try. If you drive and are coming in the evening, it may be better to park at City Gate or the buildings nearby. We circled around to find parking for a long while.

Highly recommend! Everyone enjoyed the food. Saw reviews ppl saying cushion are dirty..yes but small thing to me. Anyways, my dad literally only have only good things to say about every dish he took. He said there is nothing he can complain about! He even told his friends about this and recommend them to come. Glad he enjoyed his birthday dinner!

We didnt know what is Feb theme but satay sauce is really nice and also the barramundi chilli fish. Only need to feedback about the seats that is torn n we saw patches on the cushion. Probably need a clean up.

Highly recommended! Celebrated my husband birthday today and I decided to make my reservation with Permata Singapore for the first time. My husband is a picky eater and prefers traditional cuisines and I never regret choosing this place for his bday celebration. Received warm welcome from Chef Mel himself. We were so confused on which dish to go first but with the help and tips from Chef Mel, we managed to taste almost all the dishes and desserts. Food were delicious and unique, surprisingly everthing were extraordinary. Will definitely come back again and bring my family over next time round 🥰🥰🥰

Brutal honest. For the price you pay and so called high end chef. The chilli crab was disgusting and filty they didn't even clean the crab properly not disposing the inner muscle that can't be eaten. Tandoori chicken tasted like anti biotic. And the food honestly was just ok. The green chilli was fresh. But their female singer was just amazing. Her voice was god given.. the dinner actually tasted like what you eat in a low budget hotel breakfast in Malaysia..this is just full truth without covering anything. Said and felt by 2 customers bare in mind 2 pax was over $150

Thank you for the great service, especially kind Rina, who provided me with a handiplast for my blister. 🤭 Ambience was really nice for the enjoyable night. The Laksa Penang was indeed very flavourful, not forgetting, the mushroom bruschetta, too! 🫰🫰🫰🫰
