Finally got around to trying this stall after having it on my list for years, and it definitely did not disappoint! I ordered the Quarter Chicken Thigh set and added Otah and Begedil, which came to $8.30. For the quality you get, the price is very reasonable. They use Basmati rice, which is a huge plus for texture. The highlight was definitely the fried chicken thigh; honestly one of the best I’ve ever had. It was super crispy on the outside, incredibly juicy on the inside, and very well-marinated. I also asked for extra sambal, and they were generous enough to provide it without any fuss. Hands down one of the best Muslim-owned Nasi Lemak stalls I’ve visited in years. Highly recommended!

A popular stall in round market, Tampines for nasi lemak. Light, fluffy aromatic basmati rice along with crispy Ikan bilis were good match. Their sambal was on the sweeter end. I normally would go for several more chicken wings with my order. At times, the line might be long, service was quite fast.

Nasi Lemak (SGD $6) @ Nasi Lemak Specialist. . Established around May 2017 by Madam Mazwin Khan, this stall is known for their well-executed ingredients and labour‑intensive preparation, making everything fresh daily. No surprise they often sell-out by lunch. . Their long-grain basmati rice is fluffy and soft, fragrant with grainy earthy floral sweet flavour. The thick cucumber slices are crunchy juicy with vegetal sweet flavour, and the deep-fried ikan bilis / anchovies with roasted peanuts are firm crunchy with fishy salty savoury earthy nutty flavour. The otak-otak / otah / spiced mackerel fish paste is pliant soft with fishy savoury spice flavour, while the fried chicken egg is soft fluffy with eggy savoury sweet flavour. . The turmeric marinated chicken wing is deep-fried till golden and crisp tender, with smoky meaty savoury salty spice flavour. Their sambal tumis / stir-fried chili paste is chunky gloopy with bright savoury sweet spice flavour. A round deep-fried begedil / potato patty completes with soft fluffy texture and starchy salty savoury spice flavour.

This is my first time trying this place; came across this while reading a food blog and was passing by. I wanted to order the mega value set but the otak was sold out, so ended up paying $4.80 for the chicken wing set and a begedil. Usually I'd ask for more sambal, but I didn't have to. It was generously served up on my plate of rice. Everything was super freshly prepared - rice was steaming, slightly wet, super flavourful. The egg was also served piping hot (it isn't in a lot of places). Ikan bilis and peanuts were crunchy and sambal tasted more to the sweet side, not super spicy. Ok - so far so good. Next I tried the chicken wing. It was super crispy despite it being the last thing on the plate I ate. Almost to the point where you can run your fork / spoon over it for ASMR sound. Taste-wise it was marinated beautifully. Crispy, juicy, flavourful. So good I almost wanted to order 1 more, but I held back. Overall, although this was only a simple $4.80 lunch, it brought me joy that was worth much more. I was shocked that this had only a 4.1 star review, but I hope I managed to pull this score up. On a separate note, I think the sold out (as of 12:35 - my time of writing this) so please come early.

Aromatic nasi lemak with crispy ikan bilis, spicy chilli paste, and savoury fried chicken wings. Fragrant rice and perfectly cooked egg complete the dish. A satisfying, flavorful treat!
