been buying munchi for a long time, usually from the novena/bishan outlet, and have always been happy with the consistency and quality. today was my first time trying the Yishun hawker outlet, and it was a huge disappointment. store wasn’t busy at all when I visited - literally no customers, and only two young girls were manning the shop. I ordered two pistachio pancakes, and both were far below what I’ve come to expect? firstly, the pancake was extremely flat and was basically just two pancakes stacked together. (literally felt like Mcdonald’s pancake) unlike what is shown on their ig or what i’ve received from the other outlets, this one was simply stacked in a way that left the outer edges completely exposed. I’m not sure why this outlet prepares it differently from the others..? the filling was also EXTREMELY disappointing. compared to the amount shown online and what I’ve received from the bishan outlet, the amount of filling was honestly pathetic. photo attached, judge for yourselves. (i believe can tell easily which is mine vs online) at this point, i felt like i might as well buy a tub of kunafe spread from Shopee? would probably be more worth my money than paying for this probably 1 tablespoon of spread. that said, i want to emphasise that ive never had this issue with the j8 outlet. their pancakes and filling have always been consistent, and they also usually ask if id like my pancake warmed up. the Yishun Hawker outlet didn’t ask, although its my fault as well because i assumed it would be served warm since i saw the staff preparing it on the spot.

Get my fav munchi milk tea near my house. To be surprised they changed their menu board. They removed the bandung flavour from the list. Still hoping to try bandung flavour in future as seasonal flavour. Anyway, sis mun (if not mistaken) serve us very excellent service. Her smile, her extra engagement by saying “enjoy your food”, “your munchi will be ready soon”, you know the small gesture / small action / small conversation sometimes really made our day.

Love the pan cake at this outlet. The filling are more generous compared to other outlets. Eat till shiok shiok!

Located at the little corner of Yishun Hawker Centre, the best halal Min Jiang Kueh can be found! Love the range of flavours available, but we still choose the classic all over again!!!

These are not your normal pancakes. All the flavours are so distinct and you can feel the taste. Today I ordered charcoal, hazelnut and original coconut. I would recommend both of these. Man or man I’ve tried so many pancakes. This one is the best. This Yishun, Food hall court Should consider itself lucky to have such a high quality F& B shop.
