🥘 Food & Taste: I think their theme of food is Indo cuisine but honestly this is very bad tasting. The whole thing is extremely oily. Fried fish was very very over fried, hard and extremely salty. The sauce was more like oil + ginger + garlic. The entire box of food was dry (fried fish) and sauce was oily (or rather just oil) all at the same time. The sauce doesn’t look like what was shown in the pictures. 📍 Place: Located second level of NUS The Deck canteen. 🤵🏻 Service: Not good. It was like the staff was very annoyed to be there. 💰 Price: Expensive. A box of fried fish with white rice $6.90. A side of oil. + $0.30 for takeaway box 🐣Waiting Time: Quite long too.

The best Indonesian stall in NUS, authentic ayam geprek and spice levels are just right 👌👌

Wanted to try the indomie, but was told it would be a 20 minute wait. Hence, I ordered the ayam geprek with rice and spice level 30. However, I still had to wait about 15 mins before I could get my food and personally, I feel that there is no meat in the chicken, only the flour. That said, I really love the chilli and the spice is no joke (trust me I had to suffer the consequence but no regrets). Worth trying once for the chilli, but would probably not return back considering the price yet small portion.

Ayam geprek that fell from the heavens. Tried level 20, a soothing spice level. Rice and achar complements well. Chicken was well taken care of, likely lived a good life. Marinade goes really well. Not that spicy. Didn't need the papaya milkshake (also good) from Deck downstairs.

I am a sucker for fried chicken and Indomie, so Mrs. Hen is what I've been missing for much of my life. Had the sambal kecap ayam geprek with Indomie and it was a true delight! Was so thankful that the sambal kecap comes in a separate container, and don't let the 'sweet soy sauce chili' description fool you. It has plenty of kick! The chicken was fried to perfection, super crispy. Only wish that they help to chop it up to make eating easier. Oh and adding a fried egg is a must for any Indomie meal. 100% recommended!

My current regular go-to for a tasty lunch around SoC. The signature sambal is nice and spicy, consider changing it to Sambal Hijau for a less-spicy option, or drop to Sambal Kecap for a "almost not"-spicy one. My personal favorite is Sambal Bawang (+$1) as the classic onions and garlics enhance the sambal much better and perfect. The Sambal Matah one however might need a bit of work as there are too many lemongrass for my taste. Overall, a very recommended place to eat. The "makcik" is very lovely and warm-greeting! :)

The sambal is good not purely salty, even though overall still a bit too salty to my liking.
