The price is absolutely ridiculous. Paid $20 for this miserable bowl of mala. I am highly disappointed with Monster Chilli. What makes it worse is that it does not even taste as good as other mala stalls. Never coming here again. Beware.

Shoutout to the auntie who turned my budget lunch into a $21 luxury dining experience. I asked for the mala set which costs $9.80, but apparently it was playing hide-and-seek on her screen, so she forced me to order ala carte instead. To make a flawless experience even better, GrabPay was listed right there as an option, but she hit us with a hard "no" on using it. Apparently, navigating a basic menu and accepting digital payments are premium features that require a level of clearance I don't possess. Highly recommend this place if you enjoy being wildly overcharged, ignored, and dictated exactly how you're allowed to pay for the privilege.

If you’re coming here looking for genuine mala, this is probably not the place. I’ve tried many mala chains and hawker-style mala spots before, and this honestly does not feel like real mala. They simply stir-fry the selected ingredients, mix the instant noodles with some pre-made paste (which tastes like something store-bought), and within about 3 minutes the buzzer goes off. The whole process feels rushed and lacks the authentic mala flavour and experience. I chose this place even though there were other mala options nearby because I had tried it before, but this visit was really disappointing. The only condiments available were mayonnaise and chilli sauce, which was quite underwhelming. The pricing is also confusing. They advertise $2.99 per 100g, but certain items come with additional charges of $2 or $3. On top of that, there was a discount advertised on the board outside, but the staff initially tried to bill me without applying it. Even after asking about the discount, they said there was no discount until I pointed out the sign at the entrance. Overall, the food quality, authenticity, and service experience were disappointing. I would not recommend this place and would suggest looking elsewhere for mala.

Worst of the worst restaurant. Crappy food in bowl of oil. Be ready to pay exorbitant prices and face dishonest and rude staff. Got terrible diarrhea later! Never again...

Be careful! Some dishes are not clearly shown when you select them, and you may find extra charges when making payment. Almost $30 for a bowl of mala is too pricey!
