Had a hearty meal with my friend at Mamma Mia at Plaza Singapura! Flexibility of mix match with a starter and a main. I enjoyed the Tortiglioni Rustic Beef Oxtail Bolognese. Not the usual spaghetti but a Tube-shaped rigatoni-style pasta tossed in a rich, slow-braised beef oxtail tomato reduction and topped with grated cheese. My friend enjoyed her Mafalda Pasta with Truffle Cheese and Pepper. Ribbon-edged flat pasta layered with a creamy, aromatic truffle cacio e pepe sauce. We loved the Minestrone Soup which is a hearty Italian tomato vegetable broth loaded with macaroni elbow pasta and fresh herbs. And lastly a refreshing handcrafted beverage Iced Lemon Tea. The portions were just perfect! Will definitely go back for more delectable Italian food!

The food Wasn’t to our liking but the service was really very good. I really liked the desserts, especially the raspberry hazelnut semifreddo. I felt like the pizza Could’ve had more tomato sauce filling. The garlic bread was also my favourite!

We’ve dined here more than five times, and the food has usually been consistently good, which is why this visit was disappointing. The Milanese chicken was easily the weakest dish we’ve had here so far — under-seasoned to the point of having almost no salt, and served noticeably cold. Hoping this was just an off day, as the restaurant has otherwise delivered enjoyable meals on our previous visits.

Ordered prawn and parsley risotto with caramel panna cotta for dessert. The risotto still tasted delicious after all these years. Glad that I could I rely on Mamma Mia for halal risotto. As for the dessert I prefer slightly more firm panna cotta but this one still tasted good. Restaurant wasn’t crowded, didn’t need to wait in the queue and it didn’t take long for the restaurant to serve my food. Service excellent too, attentive to customers.
