Kamala Restaurant has always been one of my favourite places for a satisfying Indian meal. My personal go-to whenever I dine here is their Masala Chicken Briyani — the fragrant rice, flavourful chicken, and perfectly balanced spices make it a dish I keep coming back for. The food is consistently delicious, portions are generous, and the overall dining experience has always been enjoyable. A great place for anyone craving authentic Indian flavours. Highly recommended!

The staff are nice and friendly. I do also like the food. However the highlight Is being served by a guy called Raj. He is the lynchpin of this restaurant. He basically takes orders makes great coffee and tea and does the serving as well and with a smile. Not sure how this place will function without him. Great worker. Great attitude!

We booked a table for 12 pax at Kamala Buffalo Rd for 7:30pm. We ordered masala dosai and plain dosai first, and wanted to order more dishes after that. Unfortunately, most of the items were out of stock. We wanted to order 3 portions of chicken masala, but there was only enough for 2 portions at that time. We were quite disappointed, and I think it was written all over our faces. However, a staff member named Raj was kind enough to check with the kitchen staff to see if they could prepare more chicken masala for us. He told us we might need to wait about 20 minutes, which was completely fine with us. Surprisingly, the service was actually very fast. All the dosai were served quickly, and the chicken masala arrived much earlier than expected. While we were halfway through our meal, Raj came back to our table to check if we needed any additional orders. We ended up ordering another 3 portions of chicken masala because it was so delicious and spicy! All the staffs at Kamala were also very friendly and served us with warm smiles, which made the dining experience even more enjoyable. Thank you, Raj, for your patience and excellent service. We truly appreciate you going the extra mile to check on us and even have a little chat with us. Even after so many years of not visiting, the dosai — whether plain or masala — still tastes just as good as before. Will definitely come again!

im a regular teh drinker, so I know what’s a fair, good, n worst-case portion. This 1? Honestly feels like a scam portion. Ordered 2 plastics, but what I got was basically 1 cup split into 2 ikat plastic bags. u can literally see the volume—each bag only about half-filled.To be fair, taste is very gd—rich, smooth, nicely pulled. No complaints there. But portion-wise, really cannot make it. Advice to others: If ure buying takeaway, ask for it in a cup instead of ikat. At least you can see and ensure you’re getting the proper amount. Good teh, but the portion handling needs to be more honest.
