Doris Chow took excellent care of our table throughout our dinner. She was extremely helpful, courteous, and delightful, making us feel very well looked after. Her warm and attentive service made our dining experience truly enjoyable. Thank you, Doris, for making our dinner such a pleasant and memorable one!

I chose J65 for a birthday meal and it turned out to be a really pleasant experience. The food was solid throughout, and I appreciated how quickly things were replenished when trays started to empty. Tables were kept tidy without delay, and the attentive service made the whole evening feel smooth and relaxed.

We came here for the 1-for-1 High Tea Buffet. Our favorite dishes were the mee goreng, otah, snow crab, satay, sambal sardines, and clams. Each of these stood out and kept us going back for more. We also enjoyed the laksa, although we felt it could have been even better if finely ground laksa leaves had been available as a garnish to enhance the aroma and flavor. We noticed that a couple of items listed on the menu: Angel Hair Pasta and Chee Cheong Fun, were not available during our visit. We had been looking forward to trying them, so that was a little disappointing. Another observation was that there were simply too many variations of chicken dishes. By the end of the meal, the selection felt a little repetitive and “jelak.” It would have been nice to see more beef and mutton dishes to provide a better balance and greater variety. One area that could also be improved is the restaurant layout. Some tables are positioned very close to the buffet stations, and when the restaurant gets busy, the walkways become congested. We felt sorry for the diners seated at those tables. We know because we were initially assigned one ourselves and eventually requested to move elsewhere. Overall, we had a good lunch. The buffet offers several tasty dishes, and with a few improvements to the menu variety and dining layout, the experience could be even better.

Second time having birthday dinner at J65. The food spread is abundant and delectable. The server, Doris, was attentive and helped clear the plates as soon as the food has been consumed. Will definitely come again for other special occasions.

Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience with a nice atmosphere and comfortable setting. The food was generally good and enjoyable, though personally I felt it was still missing that extra touch of refinement and distinction that would make it truly memorable. The dessert section, however, felt rather minimal in both presentation and variety. While neat and simple, it lacked the visual elegance and selection one might expect, and some of the desserts themselves were unfortunately not particularly memorable. Service was decent overall, and the ambience definitely made the experience more enjoyable 😊
