The Chinese staff (short hair, bespectacled girl) who took order was very efficient & friendly. Noticing that I had requested no spring onions for my cha soba, later on when I added the agedashi tofu, she asked if I’d wanted to remove the spring onions too (which I forgot). Very attentive & lots of initiative. She also took the effort to carefully repeat the order ensuring that they were correct. She was also very familiar with the menu & was able to describe what the dishes were. Very professional. Again when she was serving she ensured that ice was added to my cha soba cos I’d requested for it to be served cold. Food wise, came for the Kani tempura. Though looked different from the menu, but still tasted ok. I like the cha soba sauce, has a touch of sweetness. Apparently according to the female staff, they make their own in-house sauce. The swordfish was served cold on an ice pack, so the radish salad kinda got stuck to it, so had to wait until the ice pack started melting. Overall would return for the service & nice quiet ambience.

First time going to Hei Sushi and was really excited to try halal sushi here in SG. While the food was good, it is priced quite steeped, with a plate of sushi reaching at least $6. Ranking this a 5/5 because we had a good encounter with a staff there. Stephanie was really polite. She demonstrated excellent service standard, and her consistent use of ‘May I’ and courteous approach made us feel very respected and well taken care of. Small gestures like this made a very big difference and reflected wonderful hospitality.

On Sunday 18 Jan 2026, kids dined at 12pm and ate the sushi and sashimi. At 3pm same day, the kids started having diarrhea that still persisted. On Monday morning 8am brought the kids to the clinic and they had high fever with diarrhea still persisting. The doctor diagnosed food poisoning. It’s been 2 days and the kids still have fever. I write here to implore you and your team to 1) look into this matter 2) ensure food safety moving forward because I do not think this is acceptable and minimally, in Singapore, food safety has to be upheld/complied.

Have tried a few sushi places, and this one stands out for its consistent quality. There’s a good variety on the menu, and everything we tried was good. The sashimi was fresh, and the spicy chicken karaage wasn’t oily at all. They have a wide selection, so there’s something for everyone. My mother-in-law and our kids really enjoyed the meal as well. The staff were friendly, and the overall dining experience was comfortable and relaxed. Our kid accidentally spilled the noodle soup, and the staff ( wasn't able to get her name ) still came over to help clean up despite being busy. Really thankful for that.
