I visited this place almost 15 years ago, and coming back to this place brought everything rushing back. When I spotted halal beef noodles on the menu, my mind immediately went to Lanzhou-style lamian and the hand-pulled noodles of northwest China — but this is a different experience altogether, and absolutely delicious in its own right. I arrived at 11:50, just 20 minutes after opening at 11:30, and there was already a considerable wait. Communal seating is part of the deal here, which I was perfectly fine with. What impressed me most was that people who arrived after me were still waiting by the time I finished my meal — a true testament to how popular this place is. And the Michelin stickers covering the window? Completely well-deserved. If I ever return to Taipei, this will be my first stop — no question. The only small note I’d leave for the staff: a warmer smile goes a long way. The food speaks for itself, but a little more friendliness toward customers would make an already wonderful experience truly perfect.

Queued during hot day, but worth it. The nicest beef noodle we ever tried. The flavour is super balanced between a savoury soup but not too thick, soft beef but not disintegrated, not too beefy, and spiciness.

The spicy beef noodles here are excellent — really flavourful, generous portions and the right level of spice. This is an absolute must-try while in Taipei. We didn’t have to wait long for a table, and the efficiency of the restaurant was immediately obvious. Within seconds of sitting down we were asked to order, the food arrived just a few minutes later, and we were then ushered out soon after finishing. The whole dining experience took around fifteen minutes!

Very average experience. The beef was a little tough and way too fatty. The broth was fine but lacked flavour. Credit to the staff they were really getting people in and out quickly. I’m surprised this is on the Michelin guide - there are way better beef noodle restaurants in Taipei

We stopped by and were seated right before last-call (after having waited a bit for a larger table that could seat 5 of us). The broth of the beef noodle soup was delicious - both the clear and spicy, although clear was my favorite if I had to choose. We also tried vegetables and their halal side with the bing and egg dish which was very interesting.
