Tucked within the glass-and-steel expanse of the Fusionopolis research hub, Dutch Colony Coffee Co. offers a welcome, laid-back pause for the caffeine-weary. The setting strikes an effortlessly relaxed tone with its warm timber accents and casual seating, though a keener eye for upkeep would serve them well; the lingering rings and crumbs on uncleared tables slightly detract from what is otherwise an inviting hideaway. The highlight of the visit, however, rests squarely in the craftsmanship of their Turmeric Oat Latte. Presented in a wide-brimmed ceramic cup, the beverage arrives as a striking study in ochre and bronze, crowned with an exceptionally velvety microfoam that holds a generous dusting of ground warming spice. Drawing heritage from the Ayurvedic tradition of haldi doodh, this modern interpretation marries the peppery, earthy bitterness of ground turmeric root with the naturally sweet, cereal undertones of steamed oat milk. On the palate, the texture is remarkably supple—the fats within the oat emulsion temper the raw, astringent edge of the curcumin, yielding a round, comforting mouthfeel. The spice dusting introduces an aromatic hit of cinnamon and clove on the nose before giving way to a soothing, lingering heat in the back of the throat. It is an adventurous, grounding cup that moves confidently beyond the standard café repertoire, balancing restorative earthiness with cafe-style indulgence. A thoroughly restorative stop for those seeking a thoughtful alternative to the usual espresso pull, provided the front-of-house team tightens up table clearance during the afternoon rush.

I wouldn’t mind going back again. It’s a simple, cosy café with good coffee. I celebrated my friend’s birthday here, and I really appreciated that they served the cake with a candle. It was such a thoughtful touch. We couldn’t finish the cake, and they kindly packed the leftovers for us to take away. 😊

A convenient café for a quick stop in the area, offering food and coffee under one roof. However, the seating is rather tight, and tables are placed very close together, which makes the environment less cozy for catching up with friends. The food and coffee were decent but nothing exceptional. It was close to lunchtime when I visited, yet many desserts and menu items were already unavailable, which was a little disappointing and reduced the variety of choices.

Kudos to Siraj! Staffs are dedicated, service-oriented, genuinely kind! Appreciate the amazing service & generosity extended by Siraj and the team! And of course, I should mention, Food AND Drinks quality is really great - I fell in love with their Turmeric Latte and Dalston's Soda!

They're not just a coffee company but rather coffee connoisseurs! Loved their brew and beans. Their food menu is also refreshingly different from the boring usuals like avocado on toast. I enjoyed their röstii, with slightly spicy & succulent mushrooms, well made tomato soup and perfectly done scrambled eggs. My husband was very happy with his flavorful crab linguini. The pain au chocolat was soft and flaky. We enjoyed our drinks too. We spent a total of 70 dollars for 3 drinks 1 bakery item and 2 mains with add ons, which made a filling brunch for 2pax
