Dapur Aishah – Hidden Gem at Bedok 511 That Deserves a Michelin Star If you haven’t tried Dapur Aishah’s Nasi Padang at Bedok 511 Food Market, you’re seriously missing out on one of Singapore’s best-kept secrets. I’ve eaten at countless places across the island from hawker stalls to Michelin-starred restaurants and I can confidently say Dapur Aishah’s sambal goreng, ikan bilis, paru, vegetables, and other dishes are all next-level. The flavours are rich, balanced, and full of soul just like how real home-cooked food should taste. And let me just say her homemade sambal is out of this world. Fragrant, spicy, and perfectly blended, it ties the entire plate together. I’d honestly buy a whole tub if she sold it on its own! Portions are very generous, and every bite hits the spot. But what truly sets this place apart is the aunty who runs it. She’s incredibly kind and sincere. I mentioned how much I love paru, but it was sold out and she actually went out of her way to fry a fresh batch just for me. That level of thoughtfulness is something you don’t come across often these days. The food was so good, I went back the very next morning to packet again, that’s how addictive it is. Even my helper, who’s usually picky with food, said it was one of the best she’s ever had. And the best part? It’s not expensive at all. Aunty keeps the prices very reasonable, clearly thinking of the residents in the area. You can taste the love in every dish, and you can feel her heart in the way she treats her customers. This isn’t just a meal, it’s comfort food at its finest. I would honestly drive across the island just to eat here. If you’re a real fan of Malay cuisine, don’t sleep on this place. 10/10. Absolutely worth the trip.

A nice Malay food stall in hawker centre environment. Yummy food at reasonable prices. Popular with locals. seats available easily. Can be warm at times.

Busy Malay food stall serving good food. Had their lontong $3.50… lots of ingredients and tasted great. Their dishes for Malay rice are great… particularly love their jackfruit curry… addictive.
