Tried the chicken nasi lemak at Aliff Nasi Lemak in 511 Kaki Bukit Hawker Centre. Overall, it's just a normal nasi lemak, not particularly outstanding, but still a decent meal for the price of $4.50. The rice was fragrant enough, the food was served hot, and the sambal was on the sweeter side, which may not suit everyone. The highlight for me was definitely the chicken wing. It was very crispy on the outside while still juicy inside, and easily the best part of the meal. I went at around 10am, so there wasn't any queue and the food was served quite quickly. Worth trying if you are in the area, especially if you enjoy crispy fried chicken.

Recently had this nasi lemak recc by a friend. Had the chix wing set ($4.50)+1 wing ($2). wah the wings is ex siol. they ran out of fish and replaced with a seaweed chix which i think is a bad trade. i think the nasi lemak is alright only la. Rice is not too bad. Chili is not too sweet nor too spicy. It’s abit too watery though. My winx was abit too dry and tough. I felt that it was abit over fried. Plenty of ikan bilis. But overall abit disappointing.

I usually come to this food centre in the evening. I am pleasantly surprised to see quite a number of stalls opened at lunch time which I don’t see them in the evening. I decided to have this as Nasi lemak is my favourite and understandably I have certain expectation of the dish. The rice is piping hot and the chilli savoury sweet. For me, the first go at the has to be the rice and chilli as a sort of “test”. And it is so good. The next thing I find really satisfying is the ikan bilis which is so crispy. The fried chicken wing and kuning fish are good too. I just wished that the egg is hot and runny at the centre. Definitely one of the best Nasi Lemak around. Update: Have been back numerous times again since my first review three years ago. Everything I said before remains true, and honestly, it is even better now. I am completely wowed by the sambal chili and the basmati rice - a truly outstanding Nasi Lemak.

Absolutely stunning nasi lemak, fluffy and light basmati Coconut rice brings a unique experience to nasi lemak not found anywhere else in SG. The chicken wings and kuning fish was very well marinated, fresh and full of flavour, accompanied by an equally deletable chilli sauce. Even with a generous helping from the vendor, I wished there was even more chilli sauce to go with everything in the meal.

Banger of a Nasi Lemak. Ikan Kunning sold here is my favourite.
