Good spot to fix your Indonesian sambal cravings—we’ll always add extra sambal to keep on the side. On our latest order, we had the fried pomfret and chicken cutlet satay with spicy sambal peanut sauce. The pomfret was decent, though we wish there were more crispy crumbs. Fried tofu feels very warung-style, while the tempeh leans a bit thick. Tried the satay for the first time—turned out to be chicken cutlet (my bad for not reading properly). Texture is tender but slightly dry, with uneven batter and some exposed meat. Fried shallots taste like the usual store-bought type, more starchy than aromatic. The sambal peanut sauce really carries the satay—mix in your preferred sambal to control the spice and flavour, and it helps balance out the otherwise dry cutlet. We keep coming back mainly for the variety of sambals, plus their fried chicken skin—great as a light snack with sambal.

Good portion. Friendly staff. Good service. Chilli is good and spicy. Duck is crispy and tender at the same time. Love the tahu telur. Worth travelling!

Had lunch today at D’Penyetz Chai Chee with my girlfriend and it was such a shiok experience! 🍜🔥 We both ordered Indomie with Ayam Penyet my girlfriend can’t take spicy so she went for sambal level 1 (mild chili), while I braved the sambal level 2 green chili. Wah, the green chili was super shiok, packed with flavour and just the right kick without overpowering the dish. The Indomie was perfectly cooked, springy and coated with savoury seasoning that paired so well with the crispy, juicy ayam penyet. The achar (pickled vegetables) added a nice tangy crunch that balanced the richness. The restaurant ambience is warm and welcoming, with vibrant wall art celebrating Indonesian culture and a cheerful neon sign that says “You Are So Loved.” Cozy wooden tables and comfortable seating make it a nice place to enjoy your meal. Definitely a spot I’ll come back to again!

"I recently ordered takeaway from D'Penyet Chaichee Singapore and I was blown away by the quality and taste of the food! The dishes were packed well and arrived hot and fresh. The food was absolutely delicious, with each bite bursting with flavor. The service was also impressive, with friendly and efficient staff who made sure my order was ready on time. I highly recommend D'Penyet Chaichee Singapore's takeaway service to anyone looking for a convenient and delicious meal.

Beware of table 19 over here, it tips very suddenly if you put weight on it the wrong way. Staff didn’t care until I started taking these photos. I didn’t get any bad results from this, but if there were hot soup on the table it could have turned out pretty badly.
