My wife and I randomly picked a place to have dinner and she was this on IG, so we headed over. Environment and service was great but when it comes to the food…umm not really. We ordered Bulgogi Fried Rice, Lemak Cili API Pasta, Chikko Polo Orginal, Double Scoop Waffle and Passionfruit Fizzy. The Passionfruit Fizzy was great! Sour and yet midly sweet. Nice! Next is the Chilko Pollo original, which is fries in some type of sauce. It was ok 1.5/5 but we end up feeling quesy about it Bulgogi Fried Rice was 1/5. The portion size was good and it looked appealing, but the meat sauce was too sweet and it didn’t go well with the rice. After a few mouthful, I was quesy 🥺 My wife had the Lemak Cili Api Pasta and it was 2/5. The spiciness was just nice but it tasted more like lontong then lemak Cili api. After a few mouthful, my wife find it quesy as well too 🥹 Lastly we had deserts and we hoped it was great, but turned out we were disappointed 😔 The waffle was too hard and doughy. We ordered Bubblegum flavour which was toooooo sweet and the Sea of Cookies didn’t had any specific flavour to it - just sugar and was also too sweet. Also, Sea of Cookie tasted very “floury” and the crackers on it was “not crispy” - ie lemau. In total we spent $76 for only 5 items, which is expensive for a two person meal (with only one drink) and we were disappointed. We won’t be heading back for sure but it gave us a good experience for the environment

Went here for the wife's birthday and we had good food with great night vibes. The smoked duck brown butter pasta is a must try. Crew are friendly. Recommended!

Went to this restaurant after seeing a Tiktok video about this place. I have to say we’re quite disappointed. Although we’re quite happy that there’s a family deal, it turns out that we prefer the finger food over the mains. The finger food was ok lah normal, nothing too fantastic. The mains were quite disappointing. The taste profile isn’t fantastic and my rice wasn’t even warm. I didn’t finish it cos it felt like I’m eating at a school canteen. The package came with frappe too but we weren’t told it was coffee base. Quite a surprise when we took a sip. Also, the gelato melts very fast. Is it possible that it’s normal ice cream? Maybe. They only accept cash or paynow.

Food here was fantastic. Ordered the Soft Shell crab with Mantou, XL Sotong as well as the duck pasta to share. Every dish turned out better than expected. Just note the place is outdoor seating only, with air coolers and fan to cool you down. Overall, a must try for people who haven't experienced this restaurant. We'll be back. 👍

Food was alright but the duck pasta was delicious. Atmosphere was very laid back and fun but unfortunately they missed out on our waffle and we had to cancel the order after waiting.

Dined in for dinner on 31 August 2023. Waiting time was reasonable. Mains were so-so to us but service from Arsyad/Arshad was amazing! He was effective in assisting us and ensured everything was in order for us. The ice cream and waffle is really tasty! Starters were nice. Vibes was good! Thank you Arsyad/Arshad for helping us :)

Cosy place with nice ambience. Missing of music at the venue. Food Taste & portion was worth the price but its too pricey to come back again. Staff was nice but a pleasant smile & more welcoming vibe Would b great.

Food was good, price wise is competitive and still within the affordable range for good food. Service is good, only down side is that the cafe is not air-conditioned, hence if you are sitting away from the fan, you will feel warm and humid. You may even sweat. Overall still a good place to dine in at, within walking distance from rochor mrt. There a lot ways they could improve the cafe but I suggest to get a bigger space, air-conditioned and with better sitting arrangements. Overall, will come again for sure.

The grub was absolutely fantastic, lah! My portion hit the spot for me, but not for the missus since she already choped some pani puri nearby earlier, can you believe it? 😂 The service was top-notch, super friendly and they bend over backwards to accommodate us. Our table was tighter than a sardine can with our lively baby, but they made it work despite the sticky, humid Sunday. All in all, it was a solid dining experience. Confirm-plus-chop, we'll come back for their desserts next time! 😋

great food and service. Beef was a little tough to chew but other than that everything was delicious . Brownie was a little hot inside and chewy which was just right with the ice cream😋. Will definitely patronise 💓

A pleasant day at Chiko Pollo! The weather was super hot so it was a little bummer that the place wasn’t air-conditioned, but overall still a pleasant meal here with delicious food! The carbonara is delicious and the wagyu beef is cooked nicely. The cheese was also given very generously for the cheese pour burger and it was satisfying. The cheese was also good without the strong taste of milk in it, which I prefer. The portion for the main meal is definitely a treat and worth the price. The truffle fries was a little lacking in its flavour but it was still okay. The drinks were refreshing in this heat! A lovely place that everyone should try!

Recently tried this place for the first time and was impressed! Started with the delectable cream mussels paired with "baby" mantou, which was absolutely delicious. Followed by the sirloin pasta (yummy!) and duck pasta, each dish lived up to expectations. The two lobster rolls, though arriving last, were worth the wait. Portion sizes were just right, and the overall wait for food was surprisingly short. The service staff were quick and friendly, enhancing the overall experience. Had a fantastic time with great company, truly enjoyed ourselves!

It was my first time at Chiko Pollo. Food was good. Portion was just nice too. Personally love the truffle pasta with sirloin. But service was disappointing. Server was not rude but just not friendly and the place was not even crowded. When i stand in the restaurant no one welcome me, server was cold and not friendly. When they serve food they put it on the table just like that. Hope service can be improve in future coz i like the foods there!

My first time here. I love the food and services given. Worth each of every penny. Best to go with friends, couple and family. The atmosphere here was fine. Best to eat it when still hot.

A charming and quaint cafe located within the Madras Boutique hotel. Love the alfresco ambience. There is a good variety of food, albeit some bites are a tinge salty.

One of the best Hala western food I have tasted so far. Chiko Polo is an outstanding hala place that beautifully blends Western flavors with traditional halal ingredients. The diverse menu offers a delightful range of dishes, and the attentive staff ensures a warm and welcoming dining experience. From flavorful chicken dishes to mouthwatering desserts, Chiko Polo is a gem for those seeking a fusion of delicious Western cuisine and halal options near little India. Highly recommend!

Spectacular place with crazy delicious food. We were first to arrive and the staff was so patient and pleasant with a smile. The food came quickly, and portions were humongous. Both the Truffle Pasta and the Wrap was extremely flavourful, and super delicious. Although it was slightly too thick and we couldn’t eat any more and struggled to finish towards the end. Nevertheless, definitely worth the travel here!

Pleasantly surprised by the food quality here. the creamy garlic mussels is a MUST try!! squid ink pasta was also really good. the ribeye steak and prawn and lobster pasta was great as well. the only thing i didn’t enjoy was the lobster roll. it looks good aesthetically but wasn’t so tasty. nevertheless i would definitely come to this restaurant again! they open till late too which is a plus point. tough to find places serving proper dinner food at wee hours. wish they had more dessert options other than gelato though.

Hip place for Western food. Tucked away in a queit allay behind Tekka place this was an excellent find. We tried this place for Dinner. Due to limited seating capacity its better to do advance booking on a weekend. We ordered Grilled honey Chicken burger, Pulled Beef brisket cheese flatbread and Truffle fries. For drinks we ordered Mango fizzy. Food arrived in reasonable time. Chicken burger was nice, their sauces were yummy and of course it was grilled chicken as patty. Chicken meat was a bit dry but due to sauces dryness was overcome. Beef flatbread was also nice. Truffle fries were good but not worth 15 sgd. Mango fizzy was nice. Overall we enjoyed the food. Ambience is quite Hip and happening with neon signs. Front of restaurant is open so there is no aircon but its compensated by an air cooler. Dinner for 3 costed us Hip place for Western food. They offer free Gelato if you write a Google Review for them and we surely availed for that offer too. Salted Caramel Gelato was the best.

Located at the entrance of The Great Madras Hotel, a small open space dining area. Food is average but service is ok. Food wise, of all that we had ordered, only the pasta is a bit special. Pasta is a bit like meepok, top with roe filled spicy sauce (quite nice), poached egg and fresh prawns. The rest are average finger food/pizza.
