Quick lunch over at bistro box. Order and pay via scanning QR code. Ordered their all day signature dishes and they tasted pretty good 👍🏼 No GST and no Service Charge too.

8.80 nett for this is pretty good. Everything on menu is also nett price, reasonable Halal food option in Thomson plaza. The tea was terrible though. Staff could have given us more menu for browsing instead of just 1 for 4 of us

Had post lunch drinks here with my wife. She had a hot teh, and I had a Kopi C Kosong. She liked her teh - I had a sip and it was not bad - rich and sweet. My Kopi C Kosong was blended like Ya Kun's, could see the froth on top. Tasted quite too too - strong, rich and creamy. My wife thought it was too bitter though.

Sgd1.90 for hot teh, made fresh on the spot. Fragrant, smooth and sweet enough for me. Sgd3.20 for iced kopi c kosong, creamy and gao enough. Not crowded at all on weekday after lunch. Pretty good ambience, tables are clean and place is well lit but not too bright, can relax and chill. Dude who made my teh was "pulling" / "tarik-ing" it on the spot. We'll definitely be back to try their food.

The taste was good, but the chicken leg portions were noticeably different in size. The issue is not that chicken pieces naturally vary in size. The problem is that two identical dishes, at the same price and served at the same time, came with visibly inconsistent main portions. When I raised this to the manager, I was told that “chicken sizes cannot be chosen.” But this is not about customers choosing sizes — it’s about the restaurant ensuring portion consistency. When customers pay the same price for the same dish but receive a significantly smaller main portion due to poor portion control, they are effectively paying for the restaurant’s inconsistency. I hope the restaurant can improve its portion control and serving consistency.
