Homely feeling in the restaurant, ate the chicken dum biryani, portion is generous!! Chicken wa slightly dry, but still soft and separates from the bone easily. Great meal overall!

Dropped by Bismillah Biryani at NUS for a satisfying meal, and it delivered exactly what you’d expect from a solid biryani spot. Located conveniently on campus, it’s a popular choice among students and staff looking for something hearty and flavorful without leaving the university grounds. The biryani rice was fragrant, fluffy, and well-spiced, with each grain separated nicely. The meat was tender and infused with rich, aromatic spices that weren’t overpowering but still packed depth. Portions were generous, making it good value for money — especially for a campus meal. The setup is casual and fuss-free, typical of a university dining environment. Service was efficient, which is important during peak hours when queues can build up quickly. Overall, Bismillah Biryani at NUS is a reliable spot for a comforting, spice-filled meal on campus. Simple, filling, and satisfying.

Went there to have young lamb (kid goat) biryani. The biryani was not even heated up, and the raita (curd sauce) that they served on the side had water floating on the top and the curd as a sediment at the bottom (I had to stir it myself to make it look edible). Such lousy service, when they charge 10 SGD for a small portion of biryani! It was not even worth 4 SGD to be honest. When I brought this to the attention of the manager, all she kept saying was, “If you had brought it to us, we would have changed it.” Did not feel sorry about the incident, did not offer a single apology. I don’t know what’s worse - the food or the customer service. If the restaurant can’t ensure quality in the evening because your staff are tired, don’t run it in the evening. People pay good money for the food.

Definitely the most flavourful briyani rice I’ve had so far. The sourness of the yoghurt blends well with the rice, making you appreciate the spice even more. Abeit being a tad bit pink, the chicken was tender, moist, and cooked decently. Price point is slightly high, but I can see the vision. Students get a discount, else it may be slightly pricey. Better to eat there, but surprisingly delicious even if even cold.

I had a wonderful experience at Bismillah Biryani (NUS). The biryani was exceptionally flavourful, perfectly cooked, and served fresh. The spices were well-balanced, and the portion size was just right. The staff was friendly and efficient, making the visit truly pleasant. Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic and delicious biryani!
