Visited the outlet. Server cum cashier was cold all the way. Had questions coz first time there but his answers were lukewarm with his “cant be bothered” expression. Looked unhappy to serve all the way even at the end when we ordered to take home some desserts. Not sure why he had to show such attitude. Also he didnt have apron on. The only consolation was the coffee n dessert we had. Wont go in if i see same guy behind the counter.

A small cozy place inhabited by Penny University coffee and big mouth bakehouse in Wisma Geylang Serai. We tried their Smoked Salmon sandwich paired with Cafe Latte. Both were very nice. Sandwich bread was fluffy amd light avoiding that heavy feeling sandwiches give. Coffee was v smooth and nice although we should have ordered 7 oz as 5 oz was too little. Ambience is quite relaxed and cozy while service was friendly. Small breakfast costed SGD 15.50 which is a bit on pricier side. Overall a good place to try out for breakfast.

They definitely don’t deserve the low ratings on Google, this is a 5/5 star establishment. $30 for a large white coffee, jalapeño chicken sandwich (had a nice kick), egg mayo donut and the tres leches (I’d go back just for this!). Service was fast, the servers even got me napkins because I was with my baby.

This place is better than its current rating! They seem to have merged reviews with the earlier standalone Penny University which had some struggles in its teething period unfairly affecting its rating and was a very different "full cafe" concept to its 2026+ variant. This is more a commercial bakery with a small cafe area attached alongside Penny University coffee and good baristas. Penny was a 3-4x larger cafe with a smallish kitchen. It's now kinda the inverse. Halal cafe ⬇️ halal bakery ⬆️ Coffee 🤩 Anyway, staff are lovely, the bakes are great and the coffee is great. Might not be suitable for big groups except at non-peak times and they are probably iterating on their seating configuration. But don't except a full Penny University cafe experience/atmosphere and you won't be disappointed by what they have to offer 👍🏻
