Al-makan took over from al-azhar. The food quality, range, and service remain the same as a previous owner. It is decent and nice still!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Al Makan and was treated to an array of delectable dishes. Here's a rundown of my experience: 1. **Kuay Teow Goreng Kerang (10/10):** The Kuay Teow Goreng Kerang was an absolute triumph. The flavors were rich, and the mussels were cooked to perfection. Each bite was a burst of umami goodness. This dish is definitely a must-try for seafood lovers. 2. **Chilli Beef Hotdog (6.5/10):** While the Chilli Beef Hotdog was enjoyable, it didn't quite hit the mark for me. The beef was tender, but the chili lacked a bit of depth. It's a decent option, but there are better choices on the menu. 3. **Plain Naan and Butter Chicken (8/10):** The combination of Plain Naan and Butter Chicken was a delight. The naan was fluffy and had the perfect texture, complementing the creamy and flavorful butter chicken. This classic pairing earned high marks for its execution. 4. **Murtabak (6.5/10):** The Murtabak left me with mixed feelings. While the flavor profile was intriguing, I couldn't help but notice an abundance of onions and a lack of beef. It's a dish that could be exceptional with a few tweaks to the ingredient balance. 5. **Nasi Goreng (7.5/10):** The Nasi Goreng offered a satisfying mix of flavors. It had a nice balance of spiciness and savory notes, making it a solid choice. However, there is room for improvement to elevate it to a higher rating. In summary, Al-Makan offers a culinary journey with some stellar highlights, particularly the Kuay Teow Goreng Kerang and the Plain Naan with Butter Chicken. While a couple of dishes fell slightly short of expectations, the excellent service and inviting atmosphere make this establishment a worthwhile visit.

Plain roti pratas are good. Iced blended Lychee Spin was the bomb! Shall try the other flavours the next time! 👍👍👍

Food was sub-par, portion was not fitting for the price point, service was just awful. Paid 5.60 for fried wanton noodles only for it to come with only a soup bowls worth of noodles that was also not seasoned well
