I decided to give this restaurant a try, and overall, it was a bit of a mixed bag. To start with the positives, the staff were friendly and the ambience was quite nice. The fancy railway tracks on the ground, covered with glass, were a nice touch. My wife and I decided to order just a few dishes since it was our first visit. The scallion oil chicken rice was decent. There was a good amount of shredded chicken, and the gravy complemented it well. The half-braised egg, however, was bland and nothing special. The beef slice la mian was disappointing for me — 3/10. The soup tasted diluted and, to my palate, didn’t really taste like authentic Taiwanese beef noodle. The salted vegetables were nice, though. And then there’s the tea leaf egg. Once I peeled it, most of the egg was just white, which wasn’t a great start. Taste-wise, it reminded me of the free eggs you get at Keisuke — except this one costs $2 per piece.

Had a great dining experience at 886 Taiwan Ye Shi, Changi Airport Terminal 3 The food was very authentic and delicious, with genuine Taiwanese flavours that really impressed us.
