Really good food. Good service. A bit difficult to enjoy all they have to offer, when dining alone in one sitting so I have to come back! Hope to try the pulled noodle next time. I had the lamb kebab skewers with the bread was delicious. The nan was also chewy and great texture. The manager gave me a complimentary dessert as well!

We walked in without a reservation and ordered the grilled lamb ribs and the spicy fried noodles. Both dishes were absolutely delicious. The lamb ribs were the highlight! incredibly tender, juicy, and falling off the bone with ease. They were perfectly cooked, not dry at all, and full of rich flavour. The fried noodles came with a generous amount of fresh vegetables, and had a wonderful sour-and-spicy kick that made every bite satisfying. The balance of flavours was spot on. The service was also warm and friendly, the staff made us feel welcome from the moment we stepped in. We had tried a lot Uyghur restaurant before, but this one is on a completely different level. Very authentic Uyghur cuisine in London. Highly recommend this place. We'll definitely be back!

Ate on the 7/6/2026. + Amazing price to portion sizes (£14 is a good entry price point and cheaper than the rest; Especially in London) + Kind staff + Best unique food in London + Amazing hospitality + Gave free tea and an Uigher Kheer with cinnamon sprinkled on top. + Chicken tasted so unique. We ordered... * 2 Qoruma Chop * 1 Chicken Shish * 1 Lamb skewer kebab * 1 Laziji Mother loved the salad so much she asked for the recipe. Definitely recommend. Most foods are the same things but foods like these are more unique

This place was FIRE! The fried flat beans had SO much flavor. Same with the noodles with beef. Got skewers of lamb — moist. Everything tasted good and was served piping hot. Strongly recommend. They have outdoor seating as well. Check the cooler in the back for the Chinese iced teas, especially honey jasmine.

Never tried Uyghur cuisine before, and now I’m wondering why it took me this long. Urumchi serves a really interesting blend of Central Asian, Middle Eastern, and East Asian (Chinese) flavours, and you can taste influences from all three cuisines in the best way possible. Everything we ordered was bold, rich, and full of flavour. We had the beef salad, chicken shish, aubergine, beef noodles, Lajiji, and mala tofu. The beef noodles were probably my favourite. It’s freshly made. Chewy noodles coated in savoury sauce with tender beef throughout. The aubergine dish also deserves a mention because the sauce was incredible! The Laziji was interesting too because it’s quite different from the Sichuan version I’m used to. Sichuan laziji is usually dry-fried with loads of chilli and Sichuan peppercorns, but this Uyghur version came with sauce and wasn’t dry at all. Different style, but equally delicious. The mala tofu was excellent as well and a really good option for vegetarians. Finished the meal with Turkish coffee (with or without sugar available), which was the perfect ending after such a flavour-packed meal. Definitely somewhere we’ll return to often. Just note that the restaurant itself is quite small, so booking ahead is probably a good idea if you’re coming with a bigger group. We went as 7 people and were glad we booked in advance. Booking via their WhatsApp number. Nearest underground station is Russell Square.
