I ordered the Ayam Penyet from this stall. It was only after returning to my seat and tearing the chicken apart that I realised I had been served the wing and breast instead of the usual leg quarter. I went back to clarify whether Ayam Penyet should come with a drumstick and thigh. I wasn't expecting an exchange since I had already started eating the chicken. However, the staff replied, "You should have told us you wanted the drum," in a tone that came across as rude and dismissive. My understanding is that Ayam Penyet is typically served with a leg quarter (thigh and drumstick) while Sayap Penyet is served with chicken wings. If the stall intends to serve a different cut, I believe customers should be informed first or given a choice. I felt cheated by the portion and disappointed by the poor customer service. I will not be patronising a stall with such an attitude!

Recently on a Ayam Penyek hunt, and Saudar Penyek tasted among the best, beating those popular stores from the central and eastern part of Singapore. The generous serving, with the crispy ayam penyek, together with the tasty chilli made this my top choice for Ayam Penyek. Keep up the good work ‼️

Fast queue, and very good Ayam penyet! The chicken is fresh and hot, sambal was a nice blend of sweet and savoury (my favourite kind, similar to the one at Chong Pang), rice is fragrant, the owners were friendly. But the soup was just a bit too salty. I asked for extra sambal and they obliged at no extra cost. Very generous portion as well (priced reasonably at $6)! Would patronise again :) Update: came back on Monday 27/4 but it was closed… do update opening hours :(

I love the Nasi Ayam Penyet so much that I eat it regularly! The chicken is nicely seasoned and juicy. The rice is very aromatic and nice. The portion is very generous, too much for me though. Very nice! Highly recommended!

I ordered chicken satay and nasi goreng ayam penyet today. Chicken satay was tender and tasty, the peanut gravy was delicious. Highly recommended! The nasi goreng and chickeb were both too oily which kinda downgraded the meal a little but overall I found this dish also delicious. Will definitely patronise again! Hopefully they will reduce the oil though
