First time ordering.. terribly disappointed by the size.. half chicken is $14.90, lamb ribs was $19.90. I think it would help if pictures came along with the menu so we would know what is the size we will be getting.. it’s not enough for 2 of us so we have to get more food for dinner. Will update back on the taste

Friendly owner. Lamb rib was very soft and tasty - highly recommended. Also had the wagyu steak. Venue was airy and spacious. Burger was sold out so didn't get to try.

A colleague recommended me this place. So brought the family and gave a try. No regrets. I had the lamb ribs, wife had chicken while daughter had pulled beef burger. Satisfying experience!! The boys serving were courteous and polite. Will definitely be back in the future.

This stall is manned by a few friendly young chaps. The Angus steak had a nice charred crust and reddish core but it was too salty and left my jaws sore after too much chewing. The shoestring fries were nice while the greens were fresh and in generous amount. I chose the Hickory BBQ sauce, which was nice too. OK meal but I expected the meat, the star of the show, to be of higher quality considering the premium price point at a hawker centre. May return to try the other items on the menu.

Lamb Ribs were tender and fall off the bone thanks to sous vide, but I do feel it lacks smokiness and doesn’t feel like it was smoked w wood & coals. It would be nice if it was charred on the grill at the end too so it doesn’t feel too one-note.

I had the Smoked Lamb Ribs. Hands down the best lamb meat I've eaten in my life. The wagyu beef burger was delicious as well. It's all halal and Muslim owned. Definitely will come back many times.

Awesome place for affordable steaks and burgers!! 🥩🍔 We had the strip loin steak and the wagyu burger -- both were super tasty! For sides, we got nachos and fries. Drinks can be bought from the neighboring drinks shop. Friendly guys operating the restaurant and I'll definitely be visiting again!

Went here to 'celebrate' our recovery from Covid-19 (if there is such a thing). Will breakdown into pointers below Location – By driving, finding it is quite easy with Google maps, located in an old Commonwealth estate. I am not sure how I would get there if it’s by public transport, but I did come across a video of someone showing the way to this hawker centre. Place – Its like any other hawker centre, located on the 2nd floor, the place is reasonably clean and not that crowded (went on a Sunday night) Waiting time – Food came quite fast (within 20 mins) considering the amount of meat products the platter offered. I prefer the meat cooked thoroughly and it doesn’t disappoint. Food – The lamb ribs is tender; angus is a little bit on the smaller side and the grilled chicken is succulent. We go with half chicken first as we knew we could not finish the whole chicken in one sitting. So, we were given the option to pack it. The rice was special, pita is nice and soft, the fries is good as well although it was a bit salty and the salad which is in my opinion is nice, but it was too little. We did not finish the rice, so we asked to be packed together with the other half of the chicken and I was quite surprised they gave 4 pitas together with the half chicken and half portion of rice Overall worth every penny, and it surpassed some other halal lamb ribs ‘specialty’ shops which I have been going to. One suggestion though, I wished they would allow customers to swap out the rice or half of it for more salad as I feel having pita, fries and rice is too much for some. Won’t hesitate to come again and spend my money on this gem. Edit* The above review is when the shop is still at Commonwealth. Last visited the new shop at Joo Chiat Rd on 29th Aug 2023, wife had the F1 Wagyu Burger (Medium Rare) and had stomach upset and was throwing up and diarrhoea that evening. She threw up all of the burger she ate and was feeling weak after that from 8pm till the next day. I want to say it wasn't the food but when one's throw up the food one's ate, it sure is the food. Gonna miss this place in the future! Bye!

I had a great steak at Salai. It was cooked well, juicy and it comes with side and sauce. I definitely recommend this place and I will come again. Thanks!

Price was okay. You would've thought the pic you see had the same doneness but i requested one steak to be medium rare and the other medium well done. They both look the same doesn't it? Pita was delicious. Steaks was fairly bland. Would've rated higher if the steak stood out with flavour and came with the right doneness. It's not bad still.

A bit disappointed yesterday. I usually order burger with tortilla chips. However, yesterday I was told I couldn't change. I could only have fries. I showed him that the menu stated for any main dish, I can choose a side. The wagyu burger was still fantastic.
