Brought my mum, sis and aunt to POWER thai to have asam pedas there on 18/07/2026 at 12pm+. First impression was already disappointed, the counter staff a malay guy wearing cap has gave us a cold shoulder and the way he replied there was no customer service oriented, at that time the restaurant was not crowded, but everybody seems busy doing their things. We told the counter/drinks staff can we ordered manually instead of scanning QR code as we need to customize some orders. He told us to sit and yes he did came to take orders but he seems unhappy and give kinda “boring face look” and keep on saying next time cannot ah! U must scan and order, the REASON we ordered manually we explained to him, because we need to customize some drinks and dishes but respond was same next time scan! negative attitude, i have an elderly person with me at least shows some respect. We have lost the excitement of having food there. Secondly We have ordered 4 sets of asam pedas 2 set of red snapper and 2 set of asam pedas stingray Unfortunately! After the food was served the white rice are uncooked and totally not edible. We informed another staff (tied hair abang) and told him to taste the rice its hard and uncooked, he tasted it and agreed the rice cannort be eaten, we were told to wait they will cook again, waited from 1230hrs to almost 1pm rice not arrived and was told again might be take sometimes, we did told them earlier its ok if u can replace us with ‘ Nasi Lemak’ just rice only as my mum on MEDICATION need to eat on time. The asam pedas has turn cold🥹. Waited another 10mins and Nasi Lemak arrived eat with the COLD asam pedas claypot, asam pedas have extra sour taste. I’m very very disappointed, i taught wanted to support local business but seems they’ve neglected their basic courtesy and quality. We can understand about the uncooked rice might be a mistake but we cant tolerate the negative and unfriendly manners. Will not visit again and will not recommended to any relatives and friends this place. Anyway thanks to the abang with hair tied at least he manage to cool us down by saying “sorry”

Absolutely disappointing experience at Power Thai Kitchen. The prices are premium, but the service and atmosphere are far from it. The restaurant has a cheap, uninspiring ambience that doesn't justify the expensive menu. To make things worse, the restaurant wasn't even full, so there's really no excuse for the incredibly slow service. The waiting times were ridiculous: Drinks took 30 minutes to arrive. Satay took 30 minutes. Cheese fries took an unbelievable 45 minutes. How do drinks take 30 minutes when the restaurant isn't even busy? We spent more time waiting than eating. There was little communication or apology from the staff, which made the experience even more frustrating. For the prices they're charging, I'd expect much better service and a more pleasant dining environment. Sadly, this place failed on both fronts. Definitely not worth the money, and I won't be coming back.

We've been supporting this stall since their days at Jalan Masjid, then Simpang, Empire, and now Frankel and the quality has remained consistently amazing throughout the years. They offer a huge variety of dishes, but our family's favourite has always been their BBQ steamboat. Fresh ingredients, generous portions, and flavours that keep us coming back again and again. Recently, they introduced their Claypot Asam Pedas. Rich and perfectly balanced. If you haven't tried them yet, you're seriously missing out. Come down, show your support, and don't leave without trying the Claypot Asam Pedas!

Went here bcoz near my house and honestly didn’t expect to enjoy it this much. The place isn’t as crowded as many other makan spots, which I really don’t understand after tasting the food. The Thai nasi goreng was so yummy and full of flavour. The mutton satay was the highlight for me — the meat was good, and the satay sauce was a real bomb: rich, thick, and very satisfying. I truly appreciated that. I also tabao-ed the roti bakar since I’ve been craving roti bakar Bandung from Indonesia. While it’s not quite as good as what I had back, it was still not bad and hit the craving a little. Overall, a pleasant surprise and definitely a place I’d return to. Hope more people discover this hidden gem.
