I simply LOVED this restaurant. The pancakes were delectable. I had the white chocolate chip pancakes with grilled bananas and nutella. Any pancake set comes with maple syrup and butter. The maple syrup adds a lot to the already mouth-watering flavour. I also had the strawberry mango hot tea. It went well with the sweetness of the pancakes. If you are looking for a nice place to eat at City Square Mall, this is the place.

I am pleasantly surprised at the pancakes. It was divine. Highly recommend it. The fish and chips was freshly fried. I love the house-made dipping sauce. I also ordered their fried chicken wings which I felt was really good. It came just like how it was shown in the menu, nicely presented. The hash brown which was an additional order was not that good. They are in small pieces and over fried. Overall, I’d say that the food is very good. They all taste freshly prepared. Update: The service from the wait staff seems to have improved..👍🏼

The breakfast set (9-11am) includes two pancakes, maple syrup , a piece of butter and a flavoured tea. Pancakes are fluffy and tasty. Fairly decent for the price, definitely not the best in the town. There are a few different variations of the breakfast set including the add-ons like hash brownies, eggs, ham etc. Not so crowded during the weekend.

Walked into a quiet restaurant within City Square Mall, utilising the 1-1 promo, discovered lacklustre food with service that could do with some improvements. Frankly speaking maybe we weren’t being fair as we ordered pastas in a restaurant that is named Beyond Pancakes, but it was dinner and they do have a comprehensive menu for western food outside of pancakes. Ordered aglio olio and vongole pastas, and in short: portion is small, added $3.90++ for prawns and calamari, and literally got 2 small prawns and 2 calamari rings. The taste was way too salty but overall is ok. The male waiting staff appeara rude and unfriendly. Price is decent for a mall restaurant but unlikely to visit again.

Honestly surprised at how good the food was here for a very unassuming cafe. Perfect example of not judging the book y it's cover. While the decor and marketing materials leave much to be desired, the kitchen made up for it more than twofold. Ordered the lambchops and they were seasoned well. Mint sauce was the bomb. Of course The Entertainer's 1-for-1 main course offer didn't hurt the enjoyment either.

A delightful surprise for us as a family. Yes the name does spell it out but somehow we just assume it's basically just pancake base extended to a rich menu of sweet and savoury. It was not till our daughter persuaded us to give it a try that we ventured across. Also, with an Aspie in the house we have a picky eater and we weren't too sure there's something for our son. Firstly, the ebullient and welcoming wonderful service greeted us. That's already a win for us. Accommodative we were a tad spoiled with service rarely had that we never take for granted. Then the menu. It is indeed filled with a splendid choice beyond pancakes. My wife chose the pizza to try. My daughter knew her dad would choose the pesto pasta while she went for her savoury salmon pancake. My son got his chicken wings and lovely fluffy pancakes with his favourite Nutella. We decided to share the starter and it not only gave a good kick off but the side dressings instead of being layered we like. And it's good. Reasonably priced and coupled with a lovely ambience serviced by such nice folks immediately elicit a must return visit for us. A winner for sure for the whole family.

Beyond Pancakes at City Square is the go to place when we think of eating pancakes because the pancakes are fragrant, fluffy and yummy! The service is great. Jay who has been working with the restaurant for many years remembers us and his service is excellent! He’s attentive and friendly.

Great service by the friendly staff here, very attentive and receptive to helping out the diners in need of assistance. The pancakes tasted average and slightly on the thick batter side of you like them thic. The truffle fries were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Went well with accompanying tartar and nacho cheese dips.

Went on Tues late lunch. Very quiet as the place is occupied with 2 customers. Pancakes is probably of the best I can find in SG. Fluffy, not sweet goes well with yoghurt or honey
