Once again, receiving the wrong item seems to have become the norm at McDonald’s Simei. This time, I ordered a Double Samurai Burger but received a Single Samurai Burger instead. Luckily, I checked my order before heading home; otherwise, I would only have discovered the mistake after reaching home. Even after pointing it out, I still had to wait quite a while for the replacement. The service flow also seriously needs improvement. My order number had already been called, but the staff member handling my order kept looking around for my iced latte and repeatedly asking other staff where it was. I could see the latte sitting at the drink machine, so I simply pointed it out to her. Instead of checking, she rolled her eyes at me and impatiently said, “Wait!” She then blamed the staff member preparing the drinks for not putting a cover on the latte, which was apparently why she could not identify it. This kind of confusion between staff should be handled internally rather than becoming part of the customer’s experience. To make matters worse, the iced latte was initially prepared with the cup almost completely filled with ice. Instead of remaking it or scouping out properly, some of the milk and espresso was simply poured away together with the excess ice. I really hope the management can review and improve the overall service flow, staff coordination, order accuracy and customer service at this outlet. Mistakes can happen occasionally, but when wrong orders and service issues keep happening, it starts to feel like a recurring problem rather than an isolated incident. Staff may not admit their mistakes and they will just say they are too busy, but you can verify what happened through CCTV. As someone with years of management experience in both food and retail, I understand how these situations should be handled.

28 Jun 2026 Sunday evening. I like this McDonald's the best in comparison with Tampines and Bedok. Stand-alone with more seating on 2nd floor. Food always hot and fresh, tables, chairs and toilet are consistently clean. Everyone from cleaners to managers are on-the-ball to make it a favorable dining experience. Guest Experience Leader, Hazimi is very customer oriented and makes the guests feel appreciated. It is also super convenient, just outside the Simei MRT and Eastpoint Mall is just next door.

the fries we received were soggy and undercooked. Hazimi from Eastpoint branch, handled our complaint very well. so he spoke to the kitchen crew and arranged for a fresh batch to be made. the replacement fries were much crispier. he was polite, professional, and resolved the issue quickly. he also gave us two coupon items as a goodwill gesture for our next visit, and we really appreciate it.
