210826 / $5.50 for the Chempadek - it has good cheese flavour and feel so luxurious to be enjoying it. $4.50 Belgian Choco Brownie was good too. A genuine owner who shows pride n joy in his bakes. Will go n support our locals for my leisure tea-break.

Chanced upon Marais Bake when I was at Kinex recently and brought home some cookies, bread, and cake to try. Honestly? It was surprisingly good! Today was my second visit back to stock up on a few more varieties. Not only are their bakes are good, but their service is top-notch too. On my visit, I accidentally left with one less item that I paid for. I messaged them, and the owner was so kind—they immediately owned up to the mistake and refunded me the amount. While it's not the cheapest, you can really taste that they use premium ingredients. I absolutely love their brioche bread, and the coffee is excellent too! ☕️✨ Highly recommend checking them out if you're in the area.

Boutique local bakery by people who seem genuinely nice and passionate, next to a Chinese bakery Pricing is not as competitive but pastry is more local and seemingly made with more passion, instead of just something out of an assembly line in a factory. Taste is decent although nothing outstanding. Feels like the flavor of the sliced cakes could be stronger like the banana cake lemon cake and the chocolate cake as it could be trying to be healthier. Good for people who prefer lighter cakes and pastries instead of smth rich decadent and dense The staff is friendly but busy because one person has to handle everything

Absolutely love this little joint. I have bookmarked it for a long time and finally got the time to visit last weekend. Small and cozy place with a some low tables for sitting. I didn’t get to try their coffee as I visited in the evening and it was too late for caffeine. Love the array of pound cakes! So affordable and in thick, fat slices. I got the banana chocolate brownie to go. Very rich and fudgy with lots of banana swirls within. 😋😋It was tad too sweet for me so I added some cinnamon to it back at home. I was wishing there would be some walnuts for some textural contrast. But still, $4.50 for it was such a steal! 😁 Would love to go back and slowly try all the cake range. Especially the cempedek and lemon loaf! Service from the young lady manning the counter was also good. She was smiley and friendly despite it being nearly 9pm, and also advised me how long to keep the brownies for.
