Just had dinner here. The 2 pinoy ladies (the skinny and the big size lady) were very very rude. They were so hot tempered. It seems like their colleagues also agreed when i raised a concern to the nice aunty at the cashier but they couldn’t do anything. Im a regular but will stop having my meals here. Family and colleagues will also stop going over until the 2 ladies no longer there.

Not sure about the reviews here, perhaps I have a different experience. I've been here like 5 times and pretty much order the same thing - cream chicken and buttered squid, sometimes mixed vegetables and mushroom. A bit sad that they don't have Grab/Foodpanda and so you have to Whatsapp message them if you want an advanced order. Anyway, their cream chicken and buttered squid are sublime. I think when you go here, expect that it is a family restaurant/you might need to wait for the food to go out. It's a pretty unique concept - I've never had "Chinese Muslim food". (Photo is from a recent take-away. The rice here was not theirs, it was ours btw.)

The most underrated Chef! Almost everything here is tasty! Couldn't recall anything I have ordered was awful! You can catch the boss in action helping the staff to clear up the plates with a smile. Been going here many years now. Countless birthdays and family gatherings. Staff is warm and welcoming.. Couple of dishes you should try: Cream sauce Chicken, Baby Kailan, Steam thai Fish, Cereal Prawns, Tom yum, Kung bao Prawns, Lemon Chicken Order western food, and they'll serve u mushroom soup as starter. Brownie points! The 'Teh O ice Limau' always hits the spot! :D

A really nice, family friendly Muslim friendly restaurant/hawkerant. Though through no fault of their own.. this place attracts all kinds of people. So for the conservative types.. looking for more clean cut family friendly vibes just plan for early dinner.. and try to leave the place by 9pm.. I don't understand why it's not on any of the food delivery platforms already..

Food here is always delicious. Order any from the menu and you won't go wrong. My favourite here is definitely the beef hor fun. The broth is Tasty, unlike other places where it is transparent. Here it's dark brown and thick. Getting a seat here at peak hours can be difficult, not many pax can be accommodated under the sheltered area. At night they will extend the seating capacity, ala alfresco. Definitely one of the better and more affordable places to have your meals.

Food was good. But the service was not nice. Not sure why they charged me extra 54 cents when I said I will eat at the place. Preparing time was long.

Just had dinner here at Mak's place and the food here is okay. Authentic taste of chinese food. Food and drinks came quite fast. I came back after many years (previous experience was not too good either) in hope that their service have improved.. Guess the reviews on the service here is accurate. Lady waitress & cashier (in green shirt) seem to be uninterested & impatient. Stood there to inform I'm making payment for my food and if they could assist to pack my leftovers but the cashier continued to stand in front of the cashier post, clicking onto the monitor screen without any acknowledgement (no eye contact, no nods, nothing). She then walked off and went to the kitchen. I continued to wait & shortly after a chinese lady (perhaps the boss/manager) came and attended to me. The chinese lady is very polite & attentive. The cashier earlier came back to me and said, 'Which table mam?' I pointed my table to her and she quickly went to carry the dishes into the kitchen. As I approached my table, I saw a chinese guy giving out chocolates to the children at a nearby table and also my children while striking casual conversations with the diners. If you are the business owner and happened to read this. Perhaps you might want to look into the service given by your workers at your restaurant. Your workers can make or break your business. I hope you will do something about the feedback for the betterment of your restaurant.

Food was good but service was slow in terms of getting tables cleared and taking our order. Once the order was placed the cooking time was fast though. If the service staff was more efficient I would have given 5 stars. Food portion is value for money.

Enjoyed eating here. I ate western food, the chicken chop with black pepper sauce. The food was filling and delicious, the sauce complimented the chicken well and drinks are nice. The owner is also really kind, he comes out and talks to customers too. Don’t know why I feared this place as a child but I love it now.

Food was great. I liked all. But the servers looks like they are not happy with what they are doing. They look angry. A neutral face would be fine but no… The serving of the food is big. We’re 3 women but we weren’t able to finish the medium size fried rice. We had chili omelette, the veggie forgot the name and butter squid. All good. Chili omelette is just right and nor spicy. It’s all good

We booked a place for 30 over pax. They cater for the kids and adults. Food is good here and the place is really laid back. No fuss no hurry. All the kids got their baby chairs flexible with the reservation and the orders. The food is good for children and elderly. Thinking of a private party with a big crowd. Try Mak's place.

The black pepper steak was well-cooked. I ordered medium rare and was pleasantly surprised by its tenderness. Staff was attentive and orders came quick. Vibes were chill. Butter squid is a must try!

The food at Mak's is good. The butter squids were excellent. Crispy. The Thai fried rice was good but not spicy as ordered. The rice came with large 2 prawns. The prawn Hokien mee was also not spicy. The price are reasonable and as usually the staff are friendly and helpful.

Came on Saturday night and there was a full crowd. They were super short staffed. Drinks came 30mins late. Food arrived close to an hour late. I noticed that the food orders weren't in order. We arrived earlier but received the food so much later whereas those that came 20minutes after us have received their food. No system at all. If you're always short staffed, you should review and employ more ppl on the ground. Food maybe be good but service was super horrible. Don't bother coming here
