My favourite Malay food at all time, you can try any dishes and won’t go wrong. Their sambal is super nice, spicy and fragrant. The owner is very kind, friendly and will make you feel home. If only I can give more than 5 stars, I will.

This is a very old school nasi padang stall. They have a great selection of food to choose from. Sambal is great, rendang is nice! Do note that they only serve briyani on Friday.

Pleasantly surprised at this. Fried chicken and (upsized) fish fillet have that Malaysian mamak stall spice feel and vibe. Aunty is very friendly, with grandchildren helping on the side. Will be back for more! Added: paid a 4th visit yesterday and was turned off by a lot of pigeons eating from leftovers on the plate of patron who left. Also saw a baby cockcroach crawling over d sambal egg. 🤢🤢 I think the hygiene level isn’t high. I half finished my food in 5mins and left..

First and the last...shop is so unhygienic...i bet if they move to better nice place their business will get better. The food is good but the surrounding of the place OMG. They really³ need to do something about it. I have to finish up eating my food super duper fast due to a very strong smell that rise from the table. It could be due to the cloth they wipe the table.Dirty reusable damp cloth...

This place is hidden behind a large banner, it's right next to Lazy day cafe. The food is good and the portion is average. They have thier own unique flavour and no doubt thier own recipes, ordered sambal goreng, beef rendang, sayur lodeh begedil and fried eggs accross 2 plates, as well as a fanta for 14.30, so quite solid value. Cleanliness of the place is average. The people manning the store are quite friendly as well. I would rate this place a 5 but the portion is average and just not impressive (for an active young man lah, the demographic that eats the most, for anyone else the portion is good haha) would've rated a 4.2 if that was an option. OH, and the sambal belacan was good.

Opens every day for brunch/lunch till 6pm or sold out, whichever is earlier. The mee rebus was delicious with nutty, flavourful & thick (but not starchy) gravy. There was a steady stream of customers taking away nasi padang (can choose plain or coconut rice). The potato curry puff had pieces of hard boiled egg but a pity the dough was mediocre. Plain coffee/tea, no C here but still tasted good.

Legit nasi padang. Have been in the neighbourhood for close to 40 years! Wide variety of dishes. My favourite few are their begedil, sambal goreng, tempeh and tau gay. And don’t forget to eat with their sour sambal belachan. On Fridays, they serve beef and mutton briyani too. The environment, unfortunately, is not the most hygienic. Resident pigeons and their poo litter the floor, mostly. But if you can put up with this, you would have transported yourself back to 1980. And a taste of it.

Very nice old school nasi padang, their rendang here is nice and soft. The curry veggie and sambal goreng is very comforting.

One of the better Nasi Padang stalls in the areas. The prices are so reasonable, and we think this mee rebus is one of the better ones in Serangoon - definitely better than the one in Serangoon central! The two aunties are so friendly and lovely too. Also, they have Sarsi!

This Malay stall had been around for years. Located just outside a bus stop. If you are particular about hygiene then this place is not for you. In the past, birds 🦅 will fly into the shop & their droppings might land on the kitchen area 😅. Now they had netting installed on the shop front so I don’t see the birds inside but they hovered around the ceiling edge outside the shop😁 Food wise are the old style Malay food of nasi Padang, mee mebus, nasi lemak, etc Seating are limited Pricing is affordable. The mee rebus i just had with the fried potato added cost me $3.

One of the hidden halal treasures in YCK. Food is yummy, love love love the sambal goreng. Other than nasi padang, there's also Mi rebus. Not many seats though. Hygiene-wise, if you're willing to close one eye, you will be able to enjoy your food there.

Really inconspicuous nasi padang joint along Yio Chu Kang Road. Very very home cooked and humble operators. Price is good and definitely worth a try if in the area.
