Best pineapple coconut salad I have ever had. This place serves some amazing and authentic flavours. Their new mutton curry set is also amazing. Very delicious.

One of Japan’s premier authentic South Indian restaurants. The flavors are just like the thali I had in Chennai. And no wonder—apparently, the owner worked as a chef in Chennai for many years. Most restaurants in Japan that advertise “South Indian cuisine” tend to Japanize to water down the flavors to suit Japanese tastes, but this restaurant is authentic and stays true to the authentic South Indian flavors. It was crowded, and I had to wait in line even though it was nearly 3:00 p.m., but I definitely want to go back.

Madras Meals has some nice dishes and my complaint is not really about the food because it was more than good enough for my taste. The atmosphere and the service were just not what you expect when you go to a Japanese restaurant and then arrive at places like this. The staff did not greet us, the woman serving the food was randomly sitting with guests before getting up to serve meals, and at the end we were charged 1000 yen more than what I had calculated. I did not confront them about it, but I checked everything like I always do and there was no mention of a table fee or anything similar. It was simply strange.

A Banana Leaf meal in Japan. Never in my wildest dreams! And it tastes definitely great (except the tamed chili and spice level for Japanese). At JPY 1.6k with unlimited refill of everything, that's just extremely amazing! Their Madras Coffee is right on point as a finisher as well. The chai I'd give a thumbs up too. And indeed all of the south Indian delicacies are here and I can't wait to try them.

Easily one of the best Indian restaurants around Tokyo area! The curry was very delicious and full of flavors, and also not too oily, which is a big plus! Once a month or so they have an all-you-can-eat lunch with free curry refill. Many vegetarian and vegan options too. People who run the restaurant are super friendly, which makes the atmosphere very nice and lighthearted. Highly recommend!
