I have been a fan of KHJ for many years, and I must say they consistently exceed my expectations in every possible way. The taste of their kuehs is absolutely delightful, with a perfect balance of flavors that leaves me wanting more. Each bite is a burst of authentic, traditional goodness, and it's clear to me that they invest a significant amount of time and effort in making each piece of kueh. The texture of their kuehs is spot on - incredibly soft, moist, and chewy. They are always freshly made, as I've witnessed them discarding any kuehs remaining after 5 pm. Sandy and Elizabeth, the owners, have a zero-tolerance policy for subpar food, and their commitment to quality is evident. Moreover, the service at KHJ is impeccable. The owners and even the delivery staff are friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, and always punctual. Their dedication to providing excellent service is truly commendable. I wholeheartedly recommend KHJ to anyone in search of fresh and high-quality kuehs. From the amazing taste and texture to the outstanding service, they are second to none. On a side note, their recently launched mochi kuehs are incredibly yummy - I'm absolutely in love with them!

We visited this stall after seeing an intro in Netflix and also GastroBeats. It's a modern twist to a traditional food. We were initially more curious to find out, if this would turn out to be another modern fad? And boy we are Wrong! We tried the Ang Ku, kueh salut and ondeh. First and foremost, each had the local flavour and traditional taste. The ondeh burst out the gula melaka when we bite into them. The Ang Ku is soft and chewy, with crunchy peanuts inside. Oh the price is a tad on the high side, as compared to the usual offerings. But then again, it's a modern twist to a traditional food

Tried the kueh kosui and ang ku kueh and I love that both were not too sweet. Seller was extremely friendly and polite. E-payment was available too. Only downside is that the kuehs were already prepackaged and thus cannot be purchased piece by piece. I recommend visiting early as there wasn’t much items left by lunch time.

We tried the yam and sweet potato ondeh ondeh. Their ondeh ondeh is freshly made and has a soft but slightly chewy texture. Really delicately made and the coconut is v fragrant too! Their service is top notch, definitely a delightful store to visit! They have many other things on their menu and are particularly known for their ang ku kueh. Definitely worth a visit :)

Love the nonya kuehs here! Fragrant, tasty and so addictive! My absolute highlight is the kueh kosui, which is steamed gula melaka kueh. Other kuehs available are kueh bingka (steamed tapioca), ondeh ondeh (where the gula melaka syrup spurts out), ang ku kueh, etc. Yes, it's more pricey than other stalls, but think about how much effort goes into creating these bite-sized goodness, and the cultural heritage behind these goodies. Do support Kueh Ho Jiak! Sandy, the lady owner is also very friendly!

Located in the corner of Chinatown complex. Kueh Ho Jiak has a commitment to quality, and their attentive service ensured we were recommended the freshest kuehs of the day. We couldn't resist picking up the cute little Kueh Kosui balls. The kueh was light, soft, and moist (similar to steamed tapioca cake). Unlike the overly sticky ones, these kueh allowed us to bite through them without much effort. The mellow sweetness, coupled with the distinct flavour of the gula melaka was just the right sweetness for me. The aromatic kuehs were topped with salty, freshly grated coconut for that extra texture. As we found ourselves longing for more, we were were dismayed that they were sold out by 1230pm!

Watched this on Netflix and immediately went to buy the kuehs the next day. I was so disappointed because the kuehs were so beautiful... but nothing was delicious. The ang ku kuehs were so incredibly oily that my mouth only tasted of oil (and it wasn't a tasty kind of oil). Kueh Kosui and Ondeh Ondeh were uncomfortably tough and chewy, didn't have the right texture. Don't know what to do with the rest of the kuehs I haven't eaten cos I don't wanna finish them :(

It is not really a dining place just a takeaway stall so a “5” score for atmosphere was more around the appearance and cleanliness of the stall. Friendly serving lady . We bought a couple of kuehs - mixed experience- kueh salat was generous with the kaya (2/3) which was quite tasty. Bought the cute peanut Ang ku kueh ( see pic) but taste was average. Also bought some pineapple tarts. That was probably better than average for me as the pineapple had a bit of a fibrous feel- which I happen to like although the pastry was average - and since I am easily won over by cheery appearances- I particularly appreciated the pineapple shaped tart at the centre . Pricing was reasonable
